The Pittsburgh Pirates placed pitcher Rookie Davis (finger) on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a blister on his right middle finger and designated pitcher Nick Kingham for assignment. Outfielder Corey Dickerson (shoulder) and third baseman Jung Ho Kang (oblique) are back from the injured list, while reliever Michael Feliz has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. Davis developed a blister on his finger during his start on Friday night. He has a 6.75 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 10 K's in 10 2/3 innings this year and isn't fantasy relevant. Kingham has been worse in 14 games (four starts), going 1-1 with a 9.61 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 34 2/3 frames.

Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Rookie Davis will start on Friday against the Brewers, while Nick Kingham will be moved to the bullpen. Davis, 26, has a 5.87 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and eight strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings in four relief outings for the Bucs this year. He had an 8.63 ERA in six starts and one relief outing for the Reds in 2017 and was sporting a 5.35 ERA and 1.51 WHIP in seven starts for Triple-A Indianapolis on the farm. Avoid him at all costs against the Brew Crew this Friday. Kingham has been bad all around in Pittsburgh this year, posting an 8.91 ERA, 2.01 WHIP and 32 K's in 32 1/3 innings over four starts and nine relief appearances.
Cincinnati Reds right-hander Rookie Davis is being shut down after developing a hip impingement. The rookie hurler was originally scheduled to make his next start this Tuesday but will be replaced in the rotation by Deck McGuire. McGuire had been working out of the bullpen for Cincinnati and will be making his first MLB start. Nothing is finalized yet, but Davis may need surgery to repair the issue in his hip. He plans on going for a second opinion on Tuesday before he and the team make a final decision on how to proceed by Wednesday at the latest. Davis posted an 8.63 ERA in seven games for the Reds in 2017.
