Angels Outright John Lamb, Sherman Johnson to Salt Lake
The Los Angeles Angels have outrighted infielder Sherman Johnson and left-hander John Lamb to Triple-A Salt Lake after they cleared waivers. Both were released from the 40-man roster, but will remain in the organization for now. Lamb had a nice 3.44 ERA and 9.8 K/9 at Triple-A, but got torched in ten MLB innings. Johnson is a 28-year-old utility infielder who had a brief taste of the big leagues last season. Neither figure to be fantasy relevant going forward.
The Los Angeles Angels have recalled infielder Sherman Johnson. To make room on the active roster, they have added starter Nick Tropeano (shoulder) to the 60-day DL. Tropeano was not expected to pitch again this season, so this has no bearing on his status. Johnson, 28, has been in LA's system since 2012. He will be making his big league debut if/when he gets into a game. He has experience around the diamond, likely limiting him to utility duty for the next few weeks. He has limited power and speed, so his fantasy relevance is virtually nothing.
