Wilkerson was recalled after the team designated Rio Ruiz for assignment, who was playing primarily second base. However, Wilkerson has shown that he can play all over the field, including pitcher. Wilkerson offer little in terms of fantasy value beyond the versatility as he has a career .219/.279/.365 slash line.

Stewart (ankle) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a sprained right ankle and recalled outfielder Steve Wilkerson from the minors in a corresponding move.
