Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Ty Adcock has been called up from Double-A Arkansas ahead of Monday's game against the Miami Marlins. The assumption is that Adcock is the corresponding move to Penn Murfee (elbow) likely heading to the injured list. Adcock has been outstanding in Double-A and High-A Everett this season. He's posting a 1.35 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 22/3 K/BB ratio across 20 innings. The expectation is that he'll begin in low-leverage situations, but could quickly work his way into a bigger role in Seattle.
