The Texas Rangers have signed veteran catcher Wilson Ramos to a minor league deal and he will reportedly join the team's Triple-A Round Rock club. Ramos split the 2021 season with the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians. His 2021 season came to an end last August when he tore his ACL. He's been working his way back ever since. The 35-year-old veteran slashed .205/.248/.397 over 44 games last year while compiling eight home runs, 20 RBI and 15 runs.

This news is very disappointing as it will end Ramos' season. He had two home runs and seven RBI across 31 at-bats in August and made for a solid value DFS play when in the lineup.

He will likely get an opportunity on the big league squad at some point, but only as a backup to Roberto Perez, and therefore, has very little fantasy value at this point.

In deep-mixed and AL-only leagues, Ramos is worth rostering for that power he's displaying early on.
