Bismack Biyombo Starting On Thursday

San Antonio Spurs center Bismack Biyombo will get the starting nod at the center spot during Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns. The Spurs have a massive void to fill in their rotation following the loss of superstar big man Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Biyombo will move into the starting five on Thursday, but the Spurs will likely try out multiple players at the center spot. Sandro Mamukelashvili should also see more minutes, but neither player is looking like anything more than a deep league option. Honestly, Charles Bassey (knee) might be the best option out of the bunch once he's cleared to play again.

Bismack Biyombo OK After Collapsing On Sideline

Oklahoma City Thunder center Bismack Biyombo has been medically cleared after he collapsed during the team's clash with Portland on Wednesday. Biyombo suddenly collapsed during a timeout in the second quarter while standing on the sideline. He appeared to have hurt his head when he fell backward into the benches, but the Congolese big man avoided any serious injury and was able to walk to the locker room. Biyombo will undergo further evaluations on Thursday. The 31-year-old has been with OKC for less than a month, averaging 5.8 minutes in four appearances.

Bismack Biyombo Expected To Play Wednesday

Phoenix Suns center Bismack Biyombo (knee) is expected to play Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. Biyombo is dealing with some knee soreness on the second night of a back-to-back but will resume his normal reserve role behind teammate Deandre Ayton. If Biyombo is hobbled by the injury at all, Jock Landale would pick up some extra minutes.

Bismack Biyombo Rejoins Suns For 2022-23 Season

Center Bismack Biyombo is returning to the Suns for the upcoming 2022-23 year, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. After the departure of JaVale McGee in free agency, Phoenix was able to retain Biyombo's services after he appeared in 36 games for the team last season. While he was used sparingly as a reserve, the 29-year-old averaged 12 points and 9.7 rebounds across his three starts. Biyombo's role will largely be determined by whether Phoenix is able to retain center Deandre Ayton, a restricted free agent; a departure from the youngster could pave the way for Biyombo to garner season-long appeal early in the season, with the newly acquired Jock Landale also in competition for frontcourt minutes.

Bismack Biyombo Moves Into Starting Five

Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo will move into the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The Hornets are shorthanded here with P.J. Washington (personal) and Miles Bridges (protocols) ruled out. He should see plenty of minutes, but Cody Zeller will be involved as well. Neither of them are reliable enough options to trust as streaming choices.

Bismack Biyombo Posts First Double-Double Of The Season

Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo recorded his first double-double of the season Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Outside of an errant three-point attempt, Biyombo played pretty well, recording 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting, 12 rebounds and a block in 28 minutes. Biyombo is the only true center on the roster right now with Cody Zeller (hand) out for the foreseeable future. Biyombo a good streamer for rebounds and blocks with a low turnover rate, but may hurt you in free throw percentage. Biyombo will have the tough task of containing Joel Embiid as the Hornets start a mini series against the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday.

Bismack Biyombo Will Start on Wednesday

Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo will jump into the starting five for Wednesday's game against the Orlando Magic. Cody Zeller (rest) is expected to get the game off, so Biyombo will get a chance with the first unit. The Hornets may continue to shake up their rotations as the season goes on. Biyombo could be worth looking at as a streaming option, but the Magic normally play fairly solid defense. Fantasy owners shouldn't expect a breakout performance here.

Bismack Biyombo Snatches Season-High 17 Boards

Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo feasted on the glass during Sundays loss to the Indiana Pacers, compiling 17 rebounds amid a double-double that saw him finish with 11 points across 28 minutes. The effort marks his most boards in a single contest since Jan. 1, 2018, as he saw his time on the floor bumped up slightly with Cody Zeller joining him in the starting five. Moving forward, Biyombo has the opportunity to grab rebounds in bunches due to Charlottes relative lack of size. Should he receive upwards of 25-plus minutes on a nightly basis over his next few games, Biyombo will be worth the add in medium-sized season-long formats.

Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo Combine For Huge Outing

If the duo of Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo were one player for the Charlotte Hornets, they would have put together a monster 23-point, 19-rebound evening during Fridays win over the Chicago Bulls. Instead, the two each played 24 minutes, with Zeller notching a double-double (his second in his last three games) off the bench with 11 points and 10 boards, while Biyombo got 12 points and nine boards. The timeshare between the two seems to be the plan for now, although if owners want in on the Charlotte frontcourt fantasy fun, Zeller seems to be the more appealing option of the two, having scored in double figures in nine of his last 10 games.

Bismack Biyombo Posts 13-15 Line In Victory

Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo posted 13 points and 15 rebounds in a 114-107 win over the Washington Wizards. Biyombo's playing time has been inconsistent, as he's been battling for minutes with fellow big man Cody Zeller. The 27-year-old saw 24 minutes, his highest total since December 2nd, and put up his second double-double of the season. Biyombo can't be counted on for consistent fantasy production at the moment. However, if he can somehow wrest away the starting job from Zeller, he could have value on a 10-16 Hornets team. Biyombo will collide with the Brooklyn Nets, one of the best teams in the NBA on the boards, for a Wednesday night matchup.
