Chet Holmgren Available on Christmas Day

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (face) will be ready for a rematch against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas Day. The big man made an early exit on Tuesday against the Spurs after suffering a facial injury. It seems Holmgren's injury was minor, as he is not listed on the team's injury report for Thursday's game. While Holmgren was quiet against San Antonio on Tuesday, he has posted decent numbers this month, averaging 18.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks.

Chet Holmgren Suffers Facial Injury Tuesday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (face) made an early exit against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports. He was hit in the face by teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and missed the final 4:43 of a 130-110 loss. The defending champions were already down by 20 at that point, so Holmgren's exit could have been for precautionary reasons. However, we won't know for sure until the team provides an update on him. The Thunder return to action on Christmas Day with a rematch against the Spurs.

Chet Holmgren Available for Tuesday's Matchup With Spurs

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (illness) will play versus the San Antonio Spurs. Holmgren is set to suit up Tuesday after missing the first half of a back-to-back set on Monday due to an illness. The 23-year-old big man is a must-start across all fantasy formats whenever he is available to suit up. Holmgren is averaging 18.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers in 28.7 minutes per contest across 24 outings so far this season.

Chet Holmgren Sidelined on Monday Evening

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (illness) won't play on Monday against Memphis. Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) and Jaylin Williams (heel) are also sidelined, so OKC will be thin at the five spot. To make matters worse, Aaron Wiggins (adductor) is questionable. As a result, Jalen Williams might be spending most of his time at the power forward position, with Kenrich Williams in line to enter the starting lineup, giving him a bump in streaming value versus a Grizzlies team that is without Brandon Clarke (calf) and Zach Edey (ankle)

Chet Holmgren Iffy for Monday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) is on the injury report as questionable for Monday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. The uniquely talented big man is dealing with lower back spasms and could miss his first game since Nov. 7. Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) has already been ruled out, making it vital for the Thunder to have Holmgren available. It wouldn't be surprising to see both big men miss one game during the back-to-back that kicks off on Monday. If neither player is in the lineup against Memphis, Branden Carlson and Kenrich Williams will likely take on larger roles in the frontcourt.

Chet Holmgren Available for Friday's Matchup With Kings

According to Clemente Almanza of USA Today, Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings. Holmgren sat out the second half of Wednesday's back-to-back set for rest purposes, as he recently returned from a lower back strain. When available, the 23-year-old has been a fantasy force, averaging 20.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.2 steals across five outings.

Chet Holmgren Back in Thunder Lineup Tuesday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Tuesday's encounter with the Los Angeles Clippers. This is a strong signal that the versatile big man is ready to return from a three-game absence. Holmgren is off to a great start to the year, averaging 23.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals. He will take a starting role from Jaylin Williams (shoulder), who might miss the contest entirely after picking up a questionable tag. In his lone meeting with the Clippers last year, Holmgren struggled to score and was limited to 10 points, but he dominated on the glass with 14 rebounds.

Chet Holmgren Not Ready to Return Sunday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) will miss a third consecutive game on Sunday afternoon against the New Orleans Pelicans. The talented big man is dealing with a lower back strain. Before he landed on the shelf, Holmgren had a great start to the campaign, averaging a double-double with 23.0 points and 10.3 rebounds. Jaylin Williams has a larger role in the rotation without Holmgren, while players like Aaron Wiggins and Cason Wallace also see more action.

Chet Holmgren Remains Out Thursday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards. Lower back soreness will keep him off the floor for a second consecutive contest. Holmgren played in each of the first four contests for the Thunder, averaging 23.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 34.3 minutes. In his absence, Aaron Wiggins made his second start of the season on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings and could remain in the first unit on Thursday. On Tuesday night, Wiggins was one of OKC's leading scorers, contributing 18 points, along with six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and three blocks.

Chet Holmgren Won't Play Tuesday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings. He played through a back issue on Monday versus the Dallas Mavericks and will get Tuesday off to rest. As a result of Holmgren's absence, Isaiah Hartenstein should be a busy man in the OKC frontcourt. The likes of Jaylin Williams and Ousmane Dieng could also feature more in the rotation. Williams could be a sneaky fantasy option, as he recorded several triple-doubles last season when the Thunder had limited roster options.
