Danny Wolf is Shut Down for the Season

Brooklyn Nets forward Danny Wolf (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the regular season, according to head coach Jordi Fernandez. Wolf hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury during a game on March 22. The Nets are sitting at 18 wins coming into Friday's game, so there's little reason to play anyone at less than 100 percent health. Wolf will finish his rookie campaign averaging 8.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across 57 games. The 21-year-old wasn't a must-have player, but he offered some deep league value throughout the season. He'll hopefully take on a larger role with the team next season. Ziaire Williams should take on a larger role in the rotation over the final six games of the regular season.

Danny Wolf Without Timeline for Return

Brooklyn Nets forward/center Danny Wolf (ankle) doesn't have a timeline for his return, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints reports. He is in a walking boot due to an ankle injury and has missed five games. Before he was hurt, Wolf's role had grown on the team. He averaged 10.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in March. Unfortunately, Wolf's rookie campaign might be over, as the Nets face only six more games. Josh Minott and Chaney Johnson are the main beneficiaries of Wolf's absence.

Danny Wolf Set to Miss Monday

C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports that Brooklyn Nets forward Danny Wolf (ankle) is unavailable for Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The 21-year-old rookie will sit out his first game since Nov. 24 after sustaining an ankle injury during Sunday's loss to Sacramento. With Wolf sidelined, Chaney Johnson and E.J. Liddell would likely see larger roles in the Nets' rotation this evening.

Danny Wolf Suffers Ankle Injury on Sunday

Brooklyn Nets forward Danny Wolf (ankle) needed to be helped to the locker room during Sunday's loss to the Sacramento Kings. Wolf suffered a left ankle injury when he awkwardly landed on teammate Terance Mann during the second quarter of Sunday's contest. He limped off the court and didn't return to this game. The Nets have a quick turnaround with a matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday. Fantasy managers should consider Wolf highly questionable for that one, given he struggled getting off the court on Sunday. Chaney Johnson and E.J. Liddell would likely see larger roles in the rotation if Wolf sits out on Monday.

Danny Wolf Will Miss Friday's Matchup with Ankle Injury

Brooklyn Nets center Danny Wolf (ankle) remains unavailable for Friday's matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he recovers from a recent ankle injury suffered in Wednesday's shootaround. Wolf missed the season opener and has yet to make his NBA debut. He was the Nets fifth first-round pick in the 2025 draft, as they selected him No. 27 overall out of Michigan. The seven-footer can stretch the floor, shown by his 33.6% three-point shooting in college, but struggled at the line last year, shooting 59.4% from the stripe. Look for the Nets to mix Wolf in behind Nic Claxton once he returns.
