Dario Saric News
Phoenix Suns forward Dario Saric will start on Friday against the Boston Celtics. Cameron Johnson (knee) will get the night off on the front end of a back-to-back before likely returning on Saturday versus Detroit. Saric has averaged 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and shot 47.1% in 11 starts this season, so there is certainly something there for fantasy managers in deeper formats. However, he'll likely split time with Torrey Craig, who should also be productive with Johnson out of the lineup.
Phoenix Suns forward Dario Saric will log his first start of the campaign Friday against the Rockets. He is replacing Torrey Craig (groin), who is forced to miss his first game of the season. Saric hasn't appeared at all in the past six games and he has averaged 9.4 minutes in eight appearances overall this season. It's very difficult to project how he might do in a bigger role Friday, but it's worth mentioning that Saric has averaged 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds with 2.3 assists as a starter in his career. However, fantasy managers should keep their expectations very low, as Saric has had horrible injury troubles in recent years and it's badly affected his ability.
Phoenix Suns forward Dario Saric (knee) is reportedly eyeing a return to the court during training camp. The 28-year-old forward is making solid progress following ACL surgery that forced him to miss all of the 2021 season. Prior to the injury, Saric played a consistent role off the bench for the Suns. The hope is that he'll be able to make a significant impact once again. Phoenix already lost JaVale McGee in free agency and Deandre Ayton appears to be heading towards the exit door. That being said, Saric could see legitimate playing time next season, assuming he can stay healthy. Possibly, Saric is an interesting late-round option on draft day.
Phoenix Suns forward Dario Saric (knee) underwent successful surgery on his right knee on Thursday. The surgery was to repair the torn meniscus in his knee. Saric initially suffered the tear during the NBA finals last year and he missed the entirety of the 2021-22 season. Following Thursday's surgery, the Suns did not reveal a timeline for his return, so he remains out indefinitely.
