Elfrid Payton Entering Starting Lineup Against Kings
Phoenix Suns guard Elfrid Payton will start against the Kings on Sunday night. Chris Paul (thumb) won't be back anytime soon, and Cameron Payne (illness) is dealing with a non-COVID-sickness, so Payton will be in line to get some extra work. However, despite the increase in minutes, Aaron Holiday may be the more attractive fantasy option as the leader of the team's second unit.
Phoenix Suns guard Elfrid Payton has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Payton is back in protocols after coming back on Monday. He didn't exactly have a huge role when healthy anyway. Cameron Payne will see more minutes in his absence. He could be a low-end streaming option, but there are probably better options available in most formats.
Free-agent guard Elfrid Payton has agreed to a one-year deal to join the Suns. This will be Payton's second stint in Phoenix, playing 19 games there after the Orlando Magic traded him during the 2017-18 campaign. The 27-year-old is currently averaging 10.9 points, 5.2 assists, and 1.3 steals throughout seven seasons of service in the league. However, although Payton is a capable producer at times, he probably won't see much time on the floor this year to be relevant in any fantasy format.
New York Knicks guard Elfrid Payton (hamstring) will be on the court for Tuesday's game against the Wizards. Payton returns after a five-game absence with a hamstring injury- and he'll be in the starting lineup, which will shift Immanuel Quickley (ankle)- who is also available to play- back to the second unit. It's unclear how the minutes will shake out as of right now, so it's probably best to avoid Quickley for DFS purposes, though he can be fired up in season-long leagues if he was benched.
New York Knicks guard Elfrid Payton (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Washington Wizards. He has been sidelined lately due to hamstring soreness, but might be able to suit up here. Derrick Rose has a chance to play as well after being out due to the NBA's health and safety protocols. The return of either Payton or Rose would mean inconsistent minutes for Immanuel Quickley (ankle) who is questionable as well.
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (ankle) will play, but guard Elfrid Payton (hamstring) will remain out Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers. With Payton still nursing his nagging hamstring injury, Quickley will likely start as the primary ball handler. Quickley's return should also take some opportunities away from Alec Burks.
Immanuel Quickley And Elfrid Payton Game-Time Decisions
New York Knicks guards Immanuel Quickley (ankle) and Elfrid Payton (hamstring) are game-time decisions against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. Both Quickley and Payton were questionable coming into the day, but will need to go through their pregame workouts to see if they are cleared. If both remain out, Alec Burks will likely get another start and be a great DFS option.
New York Knicks guard Elfrid Payton (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He has missed each of the last four games, but it sounds like he has a chance to play here. His return would mean Immanuel Quickley (ankle) would see significantly less playing time. The Knicks might be forced to play Payton or Quickley heavy minutes with both of them listed as questionable.
Immanuel Quickley, Elfrid Payton Will Miss Thursday’s Game
New York Knicks point guards Immanuel Quickley (ankle) and Elfrid Payton (hamstring) have both been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Magic. The absence for Quickley will mark his first since Dec. 31, while Payton will be out of the equation for a fourth straight outing. With Derrick Rose and Austin Rivers also both sidelined, the Knicks' point guard spot will consist solely of Frank Ntilikina, skyrocketing his DFS intrigue. Presumably, the offense will run through Julius Randle at an increased rate, while RJ Barrett, Reggie Bullock and Alec Burks could also see elevated offensive roles. The next opportunity that Quickley and Payton have to return to action comes Sunday versus Philadelphia.
New York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton (hamstring) will not play Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Payton was doubtful to play the second half of a back-to-back set after missing Monday so this comes at no surprise. The Knicks will be very shorthanded Tuesday with Derrick Rose (health and safety protocols) and Austin Rivers (personal) out. Immanuel Quickley should get all the point guard minutes he can handle with Alec Burks taking over ball-handling duties in the second unit.
