Sacramento Kings center JaVale McGee (wrist) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's preseason matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The veteran big man was been dealing with right wrist soreness throughout the preseason. Luckily, it appears the injury behind him, which is good news heading into the regular season. The expectation is that McGee is going to have a limited role off the bench for the Kings this season. It's unlikely that he'll play enough to have consistent fantasy value while Domantas Sabonis is healthy.

The 35-year-old won two championships with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018, but he decided to join the Sacramento Kings instead for the upcoming campaign. He would've been well down in the pecking order on the current roster as well, although McGee isn't expected to see the court very often for the Kings either.

That being said, the deal is worth a little over $3 million considering McGee has over 10 years of NBA service time. The Kings have six centers on their roster, so there's no chance that they carry all of them on their regular season roster.

After being a key reserve for a few championship teams, he became a non-factor once he went to Dallas. Teams looking for a backup big will look toward McGee for some veteran presence.

However, with Dwight Powell and Christian Wood both healthy, McGee likely still won't be able to make much of an impact.

Bismack Biyombo will see his minutes take a hit with McGee back. He had been serving as the team's exclusive backup to starting center Deandre Ayton with McGee out the last two games.
