Jordan McRae News

Jordan McRae Acquired by Nuggets

Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae has been acquired by the Denver Nuggets in exchange for guard Shabazz Napier. This is a solid move for Denver, but it's going to hurt McRae's fantasy value. He saw plenty of chances with the tanking Wizards, but will fight for his time off the bench in Denver. McRae could be a deep league option, but belongs on the waiver wire in standard leagues. Napier won't have a huge role in Washington and is basically a deep league streaming option.

Jordan McRae Will Be Absent For Tuesday’s Contest

Washington Wizards point/shooting guard Jordan McRae has been preemptively ruled out for Tuesdays game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sprained right ankle. McRaes absence marks his first outing on the sidelines in over a month, as Troy Brown Jr. is likely to see an increased role with the second unit without McRae available. The Wizards return home Thursday to open a six-game homestand, with the hope that McRae could get back into the rotation when they take on the Hornets.

Jordan McRae Picks Up Questionable Tag For Tuesday’s Game

Washington Wizards point/shooting guard Jordan McRae exited Sundays contest against the Atlanta Hawks due to an ankle sprain and that has led to the team tagging him as questionable to play Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks. McRae has seen his role take a downturn since returning to the bench seven games ago, having averaged 10.3 points in 21.7 minutes per contest. He has scuffled mightily from behind the arc in that span (11.5 percent), although he retains some upside for his ability to score in bunches. Check back closer to tip-off to get a final read on his status.

Jordan McRae Will Play on Monday

Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae (ankle) will play in Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He was removed from the injury report after getting in limiting practice over the weekend. McRae suffered a left ankle injury on Friday, but it appears he'll be ready to go for Monday. He's worth adding in most standard leagues right now.

Jordan McRae Did Some Practice on Sunday

Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae (ankle) was able to do some light practice on Sunday. McRae was unable to put any weight on his left foot after suffering an injury during Friday's game. Fantasy owners should consider McRae questionable for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Gary Payton and Troy Brown will see more minutes if McRae is unable to play. Brown is worth a look in most 12 team standard leagues right now.

Jordan McRae To Miss Remainder Of Friday’s Contest

Washington Wizards point/shooting guard Jordan McRae sustained a sprained left ankle during the second quarter of Fridays game versus the Toronto Raptors and will not be able to return for the remainder of the outing. McRaes injury is yet another in the seemingly endless list of ailments to befall the Wizards this season. Prior to his departure, McRae played six minutes off the bench and shot 1-for-5 from the floor en route to a three-point showing. The 28-year-old appeared in considerable pain after spraining his ankle, with his next chance to take the floor coming Monday against Detroit.

Jordan McRae Scores 16 In Loss To Bulls

Washington Wizards guard Jordan McRae scored 16 points with four rebounds, three assists, and one steal in a 115-106 loss to the Chicago Bulls. McRae has put up some impressive numbers this month, with averages of 18.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 triples, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals per game. Unfortunately, his 38.3 percent shooting from the field in that span limits his upside. Still, McRae has become a valuable part of the Wizards rotation. Their fast pace of play should allow the 28-year-old to continue his career year. McRae gets a tough matchup against the Raptors, who have played strong defense this year.

Jordan McRae Logs Career-High Eight Boards In 29-Point Effort

Washington Wizards point/shooting guard Jordan McRae continued to star with Bradley Beal (leg) out of the mix for Fridays win over the Atlanta Hawks. McRae collected a game-high 29 points, while also setting a new career high with eight rebounds across his 36 minutes. In addition to shooting 10-for-26 from the field overall -- including 4-for-5 from behind the arc -- McRae dished out six assists to deliver a monster all-around performance. So long as Beal remains sidelined, McRae remains a definite must-roster fantasy option in any-sized format with his next contest coming Sunday against Utah.

Jordan McRae Collects 19 Points In Second Straight Start

Washington Wizards point/shooting guard Jordan McRae was back among the starting five for Mondays win over the Boston Celtics, finishing with 19 points on 8-for-24 shooting overall. Efficiency from the floor hasnt been the name of McRaes game over his last four outings, but he has taken ample advantage of the consistent offensive opportunities. He played a season-high 38 minutes, which marked the second-highest total of his career, adding seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals in that span. Should Bradley Beal (leg) remain out of the mix Wednesday versus Orlando, McRae should likely retain significant fantasy value, especially for those owners in need of scoring.

Jordan McRae Pours In Season-High 29 Points During Win

Washington Wizards point/shooting guard Jordan McRae delivered arguably the best performance of his career during Mondays victory over the Miami Heat, leading the way with a team-high 29-point outing that included him shooting 9-for-14 from the floor overall, including 6-for-8 from three-point range. McRaes fantasy value has erupted with Bradley Beal absent, as the fourth-year guard also tossed in eight assists, four rebounds and two steals for one of the best fantasy outings across the slate. Should Beal remain sidelined for New Years Days matchup with the Magic, McRae would likely retain his enormous offensive role, making him a short-term asset in any sized season-long format.
