Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard/small forward Austin Reaves and small forward Kent Bazemore have tested out of the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, but neither were cleared to return to action Wednesday vs. Memphis. Reaves' absence has now been extended to seven games, while Bazemore is missing his sixth consecutive contest, leaving L.A. thin on the wing for the time being. Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson have stepped into larger roles without the duo available. Prior to entering the protocols, Reaves had averaged 11 points and 5.3 rebounds across 28.5 minutes in his three latest outings. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on Reaves' and Bazemore's availability ahead of Friday's matchup against the Trail Blazers.
Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kent Bazemore has been bumped into the starting group for Friday's contest against Minnesota. Bazemore will be making his first start since Nov. 12, having since played sparingly off the bench. Even during his stint as a starter to begin the year, Bazemore scored in double figures just twice, severely limiting his fantasy appeal. Although, the veteran could see a significant minutes bump beginning Friday as Talen Horton-Tucker and Austin Reaves have entered the league's health and safety protocols.
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Kent Bazemore (health and safety protocols) will be out for the next 10-14 days after entering the league's protocols. Bazemore was starting with Kelly Oubre Jr. moved to the bench and was coming off an incredible six-steal game. However, he will now join teammate Damion Lee (health and safety protocols) on the sidelines for the next two weeks. Oubre will likely move back to the starting lineup and Jordan Poole could see some extra run in the meantime.
Golden State Warriors guard Kent Bazemore will jump into the starting five for Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets. Kelly Oubre Jr. (wrist) took a hard fall last game, so the team will take the cautious approach. Bazemore will get the start, while Jordan Poole and Damion Lee will get a boost off the bench. Fantasy managers should consider Bazemore a streaming option against the Rockets horrendous defense. Poole should also have plenty of appeal for this matchup.
Kent Bazemore Scores Season-High 26 Points On Wednesday
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Kent Bazemore had his best offensive game of the season in Wednesday night's win over the Miami Heat. Bazemore led all scorers in the game with 26 points, a season-high for him. He shot 10-for-19 from the field and hit four threes while adding eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and one turnover. Bazemore had only reached 20 points once in his previous 26 games this year and he's averaging just 7.0 points per game on the year. We'll see if this is a sign of things to come. Next up for Bazemore and the Warriors is a tough matchup against the Orlando Magic on Friday. The Magic rank amongst the top-10 in the league in defense this year.
Sacramento Kings guard Kent Bazemore (calf) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Kings have been eliminated from the postseason, so they have no incentive to play Bazemore at less than 100 percent. Daquan Jeffries should see significant playing time, so he could be a low-cost DFS option for Thursday's slate.
Sacramento Kings guard Kent Bazemore (calf) is currently listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Bazemore has been dealing with left calf soreness, so the team might limit him here. He has been decent during the bubble, averaging 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals. Buddy Hield should gain the most fantasy value if Bazemore is unable to play. He'd be a reliable DFS option, especially with extended playing time. Fantasy owners should check back closer to tip-off for more information.
Sacramento Kings guard Kent Bazemore mentioned he was hopeful to remain with the organization beyond the 2019-2020 season. His stats have taken a hit this season, but he is averaging 23.5 minutes per game through 20 games with Sacramento. Head coach Luke Walton said Bazemore was "a big part of [the Kings] having a little bit of success." Bazemore is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. The Kings could likely bring him back on a reasonably cheap deal since he struggled this season. However, fantasy owners shouldn't expect much production from Bazemore despite him averaging decent playing time.
Sacramento Kings guard/forward Kent Bazemore led the team in scoring against the Clippers on Saturday, finishing a 112-103 win with 23 points on 7-for-13 shooting. He sank two of three attempts from deep and added seven points from the line with eight attempts. Bazemore also did a great job on the defensive end with four steals and one block. He polished things off with six rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes off the bench. It took some time for Bazemore to adjust to his new surroundings, but he seems to have found his game now in Sacramento, going for 15-plus points in three of his past four games. He should get plenty of scoring opportunities again on Tuesday against the struggling Warriors.
Sacramento Kings guard/forward Kent Bazemore is expected to be active for Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He was recently acquired by the Kings in a trade a few days ago, but it was officially finalized on Tuesday. The move to Sacramento is actually going to hurt Bazemore's fantasy value. Bogdan Bogdanovic will be his main competition, so Bazemore won't have much value outside of much deeper setups.
