Myles Turner Leaves Indiana, Signs With Milwaukee

Center Myles Turner, Indiana's longest-tenured player, will play for division rival Milwaukee in the 2025-26 season. The Bucks signed the 29-year-old to a four-year, $107 million deal to replace the outgoing Brook Lopez. ESPN's Shams Charania reports the contract has a player option for the final season and a full 15% trade kicker. Turner will start alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, with forward Bobby Portis being the primary big off the bench. Injured guard Damian Lillard will be waived for Milwaukee to afford the contract. It seemed like a foregone conclusion that Indiana, one win away from a championship, would bring Turner back. However, with Tyrese Haliburton's Achilles injury, the Pacers' brass seemed hesitant to enter the luxury tax, and they let Turner walk. Indiana is now in the market for a starting-level center.

Re-Signing Myles Turner the "No. 1 Priority" for Pacers

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner is heading toward free agency, but the team wants to hang on to him. "I don't think it's any secret that the franchise, at this particular moment, that that is the No. 1 priority," Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said about Turner. "I don't know anything about money or numbers or years, or any of that kind of stuff, but Myles is a very important part of what we've done here, what we've been doing." Turner is coming off a two-year, $40 million deal and could double his annual salary with his new contract. The 29-year-old has spent his entire NBA career with the Pacers, nearing 700 regular-season games. Turner had a solid year in 2024-25, averaging 15.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks while shooting a career-high 39.6 percent from deep.

Myles Turner Playing Through Illness

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner is battling cold symptoms but continues to contribute as much as possible to his team's NBA Finals run. He played 30 minutes in Game 3 and had a few critical defensive plays does the stretch while finishing with nine points, two rebounds, five blocks, a steal, and an assist. It was the most minutes he has played in five games, but Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said, "Myles is under the weather... He just hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days. It was affecting his wind. He won't bring it up, but I think it's just appropriate to mention that he's working through something." Turner is not on the injury report, so he doesn't seem in danger of missing Game 4, but he may be at less than 100% once again.

Two Teams Seen as Potential Suitors for Myles Turner

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner completes a two-year, $40.9 million contract this season and may suit up in a different uniform in 2025-26. According to reports, there is mutual interest between Turner and the Pacers to work out a new deal, but he will have a couple of interesting alternative options if things don't work out. Per Grant Afseth of RG, the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks are interested in landing Turner, who has so far spent his entire 10-year NBA career in Indianapolis. The 29-year-old big man shot a career-high 39.6 percent from three-point range this season, averaging 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks. Turner has been a reliable fantasy producer for many years and should continue to be held in high regard even if he changes teams.

Myles Turner Struggles on the Glass Once Again

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner scored 16 points in Friday's playoff victory over New York. The 2015 No. 11 overall pick shined in the previous series versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he hasn't been nearly as potent against the Knicks, averaging 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 25.0% shooting from downtown, all down from the Conference semifinals. With Mitchell Robinson in the mix and dominating the glass, head coach Rick Carlisle may need more size underneath the rim in Game 3, meaning Turner might sit more on Sunday.

Myles Turner Big At Both Ends In Game 2

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner played a pivotal role in Tuesday's 120-119 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, posting 23 points on 8-for-17 shooting and blocking five shots. Additionally, he recorded eight rebounds with one steal and one block, finishing 2-for-5 with his shots from the three-point line. This was Turner's third outing in four games with 20-plus points. He is in a great position to enjoy further offensive success against the Cavaliers, as they lost Evan Mobley (ankle) for Tuesday's Game 2. It was a difficult matchup on paper for Turner, but he has been strong in the series so far, averaging 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks.

Myles Turner Has A Productive Showing In Game 1

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner finished with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double in Sunday's win over the Cavaliers. He added three steals and two blocks. Turner had a nice showing for DFS participants in Game 1, which also could be said for Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, and Pascal Siakam. With that in mind, the 29-year-old wasn't as productive versus the Cavs during the regular season, at least on the glass, amassing 5.8 boards in four meetings. Still, Turner should get all the work he can handle in Game 2 on Tuesday, leaving little room for involvement from Thomas Bryant, who had two points, two rebounds, and one block in six minutes.

Myles Turner Ruled Out On Friday

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner (knee) won't play on Friday against the Magic. The Pacers are going to the playoffs. As a result, Tyrese Haliburton (back), Pascal Siakam (elbow), Aaron Nesmith (rest), and Andrew Nembhard (thumb) also won't suit up. But as far the middle is concerned, Thomas Bryant, averaging 12.6 points and 8.0 rebounds in seven starts this season, will likely get all the minutes he can handle on Friday night.

Myles Turner May Miss Another Game Wednesday

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner (illness) is questionable to play on Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets. The 29-year-old big man was a late scratch for Monday's action against the Sacramento Kings due to an illness and has not yet fully recovered. Thomas Bryant moved into the starting five on Monday but had a fairly quiet evening with seven points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes. Obi Toppin and Jarace Walker provided frontcourt backup off the bench, making many fantasy managers happy by combining for 34 points. If Turner remains out on Wednesday, it will once again take a collective effort to make up for his absence.

Myles Turner Sidelined On Monday

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner (illness) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings. Going into Monday's contest, he had only sat out once in the last 20 games. However, Turner was added late to the Pacers' injury report due to an illness that will keep him out of the lineup. With the big man out of action this evening, the team's frontcourt will likely rely on Thomas Bryant and Obi Toppin to soak up some minutes.
