Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Posts 25 Points in Series Opener

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander produced 25 points, four rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks in 29 minutes during Sunday's Western Conference first-round win over Phoenix. His shot did not fall consistently, but he controlled the game by drawing fouls and creating offense, finishing with heavy free-throw production. The blowout limited his minutes, slightly capping his DFS ceiling despite strong usage. Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren remain key secondary options, while SGA's ability to generate points at the line keeps his floor stable in all formats.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Resting on Sunday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (oblique) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Unsurprisingly, the Thunder are resting most of their starters for Sunday's regular-season finale. Gilgeous-Alexander will head to the bench with a minor oblique issue. Thunder fans shouldn't be worried as he'll be ready to go for the postseason. His absence on Sunday should mean larger roles for Nikola Topic and Jared McCain. Between the two guards, Topic is looking like the better streaming option after posting a double-double on Friday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Won't Face Nuggets Friday

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (oblique) has been ruled out for Friday's clash against the Denver Nuggets. Oklahoma City has just secured the top seed in the Western Conference and will give the reigning MVP some rest after a back-to-back set. The defending champions will be without many regulars on Friday night, so Jared McCain should get an opportunity to eat up as many minutes as he can handle in the backcourt, along with Nikola Topic. Both players could be part of the starting lineup.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is Cleared for Wednesday's Contest

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks. The superstar guard is back in the mix after sitting out of Tuesday's contest due to an abdominal strain. It sounds like Tuesday's absence was more of a maintenance day to keep Gilgeous-Alexander healthy and rested. Isaiah Joe will head back to the bench with Gilgeous-Alexander returning on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should expect him to have a full workload on Wednesday. As for Joe, he won't be as appealing for streaming with him playing off the bench.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Ruled Out for Tuesday's Matchup With Bulls

According to Clemente Almanza of USA Today, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) won't suit up for Tuesday's matchup with the Chicago Bulls due to abdominal strain management. The Thunder are exercising caution and will hold him out for the first leg of their back-to-back set. After missing nine consecutive games, Gilgeous-Alexander has returned in strong form, scoring at least 30 points in each of his two appearances since coming back. He is expected to return on Wednesday against the Knicks. With SGA sidelined on Tuesday, Cason Wallace, Isaiah Joe, and Jared McCain should see increased opportunities in the backcourt.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Off the Injury Report for Friday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's meeting with the Denver Nuggets. He has been sidelined since suffering an abdominal injury, keeping him off the floor for OKC's previous nine contests. While SGA may be limited for at least a few contests, he should be plugged right back into all fantasy lineups. Chet Holmgren (back) and Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) are also off the injury report, meaning lower ceilings for Cason Wallace, Jaylin Williams, and Aaron Wiggins.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to Miss At Least One More Week

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) will be re-evaluated in approximately one week and is set to miss additional time after sitting out since Feb. 3. With the All-Star sidelined alongside Ajay Mitchell (abdomen), Oklahoma City's backcourt minutes are wide open. Over his last five games, Isaiah Joe has averaged 16.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.4 threes in 28.1 minutes, while Cason Wallace has produced 11.0 points, 4.2 assists, and 1.8 steals in 30.8 minutes. Jared McCain added 13 points in 24 minutes last game. Joe and Wallace are strong streamers, with Chet Holmgren likely absorbing added usage.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Out Until at Least the All-Star Break

Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) will miss at least five games with an abdominal strain, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The report states that the reigning MVP will be reevaluated after the All-Star break, so his absence could extend further into February. SGA suffered the injury Tuesday night in the blowout win over the Orlando Magic. Following the news that SGA would miss the Wednesday night tilt against the San Antonio Spurs, most of the Oklahoma City rotation was ruled out with various injuries. Cason Wallace, one of the few healthy rotation players, will handle the ball-handling responsibilities for the Thunder on Wednesday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is Upgraded to Available

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (finger) has been upgraded to available to play ahead of Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic. He was listed as questionable coming into this game due to a sprained right index finger. It doesn't appear to be serious enough to keep Gilgeous-Alexander off the court. There is a concern that the finger issue could affect his shooting ability. Despite that, Gilgeous-Alexander needs to be started in all fantasy formats, even with a banged-up finger. Fantasy managers should get him active in their lineups ahead of tip-off.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Considered Questionable for Tuesday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (finger) is considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Orlando Magic due to a sprained right index finger. Gilgeous-Alexander hasn't missed a game since Jan.9 and he's played in 48 of 50 Thunder contests so far this campaign. If the superstar guard is unable to suit up, Isaiah Joe will be provided with a heavier workload, especially with Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) already set to miss his sixth straight game due to an abdominal strain.
