Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Available on Wednesday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) is cleared to suit up for Wednesday's meeting with Minnesota. He was listed as questionable because of an illness. However, after going through pre-game warmups, he feels well enough to play. It's unknown how sick he is, so there's a chance he may sit more than usual. Still, SGA should be featured in all fantasy lineups.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a Game-Time Decision on Wednesday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) is currently questionable for Wednesday's meeting with Minnesota. Fantasy managers should already be planning for his absence. However, it's not a lock he'll be sidelined, with SGA planning to warm up to see how he feels. If Gilgeous-Alexander isn't available, it will be all hands on deck, although Chet Holmgren, Cason Wallace, and Ajay Mitchell may benefit the most offensively.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Danger of Missing Wednesday's Contest

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) may miss his first game of the season on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report. The Canadian star is battling an illness, and his exit from the lineup could give Ajay Mitchell an opportunity to start. Mitchell has been one of the most productive bench players in the league this season, but a starting role would provide his fantasy value with an additional bump. In his previous five starts this season, Mitchell has averaged 18.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.4 steals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Signs Massive Extension With Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma City Thunder and guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have agreed on a four-year, $285 million super max contract extension. That keeps the reigning NBA MVP under contract through the 2031 season. SGA now has the richest yearly salary in league history, a deserving accolade after becoming one of four players in NBA history to win the NBA MVP, Finals MVP, and scoring title. The Thunder's championship core remains intact and will be a strong contender to repeat in 2026. Gilgeous-Alexander will be a top-five pick in upcoming fantasy basketball drafts.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Can't Close Out Pacers

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a disappointing performance in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, and now will have to win Game 7 at home to claim the NBA Championship. SGA had an uncharacteristic eight turnovers in the defeat after averaging only 2.4 turnovers per game during the regular season. He still led the team with 21 points and added four rebounds and two assists, but he and the Thunder never recovered from a rough second quarter in which they were outscored 36-17. The reigning MVP will look to secure the title for his team at home in Game 7, but he'll need a much better showing than he had on Thursday to get the job done.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Outstanding at Both Ends Monday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made a big mark at both ends in Monday's 120-109 victory against the Indiana Pacers, recording 31 points, two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and four blocks. The MVP shot 9-for-21 from the field and 13-for-14 at the free-throw line. This was Gilgeous-Alexander's fourth game of the Finals with at least 30 points and marked his fourth outing in five games with multiple steals. The Thunder leader is on his way to adding the Finals MVP trophy to his resume, having been exceptional against the Pacers with averages of 32.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 2.4 steals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Leads the Way in Game 4

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 35 points in Friday's win over the Indiana Pacers. He added three steals and a block. OKC had trouble keeping up with Indiana throughout the night. However, SGA put the Thunder on his back by scoring 15 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter while sinking six free-throws in the final minute of the contest. With the series knotted at two games each, both clubs will head back to Oklahoma City for Game 5 on Monday. Gilgeous-Alexander is now averaging 32.8 points during the NBA Finals, so Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle will need to make adjustments. With that said, until the 26-year-old shows signs of regression, he remains a top option for DFS managers.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Settles for 24 Points in Game 3 Loss

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was limited to 24 points in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers, shooting 9-for-20 from the field and 5-for-6 at the line in a 116-107 defeat. After allowing Gilgeous-Alexander to open the Finals with back-to-back 30-point efforts, the Pacers did a remarkable job against him defensively, limiting his scoring opportunities and forcing the 2024-25 MVP to commit a game-high six turnovers. Gilgeous-Alexander wrapped up his line with eight rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. While every other player would likely be satisfied with Gilgeous-Alexander's output on Wednesday, he has set incredibly high standards for himself and must be eager to bounce back in Game 4 on Friday night.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Dominates In Game 2 Victory

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander proved why he was named the NBA's MVP this season after leading all scorers in the dominant 123-107 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 2. He finished with 34 points, eight assists, five rebounds, four steals, and one block while shooting 11-for-21 from the floor and 11-for-12 from the charity stripe. This was his second consecutive game with 30 or more points, which further pushes his lead for most points this postseason (548). Gilgeous-Alexander also boasts the highest number of win shares in the playoffs, with 3.5, as the series shifts to Indiana for Game 3 on Wednesday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Scores 38 Points in Game 1 Defeat

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 38 points in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but his Thunder couldn't hold on to defeat the Pacers. SGA missed a shot with 11.0 seconds remaining, and Tyrese Haliburton knocked down the game-winner to give the Pacers an upset, 111-110 victory on the road. It was another huge game for Gilgeous-Alexander, who has posted great numbers throughout the playoffs and added five rebounds, three assists, three steals and just two turnovers in his game-high 40 minutes. He and the Thunder will look to bounce back and level the series in Game 2, which is scheduled for Sunday night at the Paycom Center.
