Blake Jarwin News
The Dallas Cowboys are cautiously optimistic that both wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle) and tight end Blake Jarwin (ankle) will be active for the divisional round against the Rams on Saturday, according to a source. Both players are listed as questionable despite not practicing at all this week. They have a solid chance to play, but neither player will likely be 100 percent and they should both be considered extremely shaky DFS plays against LA.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle) and tight end Blake Jarwin (ankle) missed practice all week but are questionable for the divisional round on Saturday against the Rams. Both players are expected to be game-time decisions on Saturday. Even if they play, they're both lottery tickets for fantasy owners. Rookie wide receiver Michael Gallup and rookie tight end Dalton Schultz could see more targets if both Beasley and Jarwin are ruled out. Only Gallup would be worth a spot in fantasy lineups, and even then he'd be more of a deep sleeper that is touchdown-dependent.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle) and tight end Blake Jarwin (ankle) missed practice for the third straight day on Thursday. It's looking like both will be game-time decisions for the divisional round on Saturday against the Rams. Neither player would be a very smart DFS play this weekend even if they were fully healthy. Noah Brown and Tavon Austin will fight for snaps in three-wide sets if Beasley is inactive, while rookie Michael Gallup should see more targets as the No. 2. If Jarwin sits, Rico Gathers and rookie Dalton Schultz will see bigger roles against LA.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle) and tight end Blake Jarwin (ankle) both missed practice for the second straight day on Wednesday. Both players are shaping up to be questionable against the Rams in the divisional round on Saturday. Beasley blew up for 101 yards and two touchdowns back on Oct. 14 and Jarwin had his outlier performance with three touchdowns in Week 17. Otherwise, they've both been pretty useless in fantasy. If Beasley sits out, it could give rookie Michael Gallup a bigger workload. Rico Gathers and rookie Dalton Schultz would split the workload if Jarwin is inactive.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle) and tight end Blake Jarwin (ankle) will not practice on Tuesday. Beasley was able to play through his tweaked ankle in the wild-card win over the Seahawks last Saturday, but he's not a lock to be able to play in the divisional round against the Rams on Saturday. Beasley's practice status this week may paint the picture, and he is the much bigger question mark than Jarwin. Beasley had just three catches for 28 yards last weekend and hasn't gone over 100 yards receiving since his fluke two-score game on Oct. 14. He's a desperation DFS flier if he plays, while Jarwin is even more of a long shot to return relevant fantasy production.
