Brandon Copeland Signs With Falcons
Former New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Copeland signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, according to a source. Copeland's most successful season came with the New York Jets under Falcons linebackers coach Frank Bush, when he recorded 6.5 sacks and 14 QB hits. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2013 but didn't play in a regular season game until 2015 with the Detroit Lions. Copeland has started 18 of his 66 career NFL games, recording 119 total tackles (79 solo), seven sacks and 19 QB hits. He'll add some depth at both linebacker and on special teams for the Falcons in 2021.
