Caleb Farley News
Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley (knee) suffered a torn ACL on Monday night, which will end his rookie season. The MRI confirmed an isolated ACL tear with little damage to the meniscus. The 2021 first-round pick had four solo tackles and one pass deflection in his limited time this season, so an already weak pass defense loses a key part of their secondary. Janoris Jenkins and Elijah Molden will be the top two corners in his absence, while Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker make up the rest of the secondary for the Titans. They will be in for all they can handle in Week 7 against Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tennessee Titans first-round cornerback Caleb Farley (knee) was injured in the Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills and has already been ruled out. Farley was carted off the field and was emotional after suffering a left knee injury, so this could keep him out for an extended period of time. The 22-year-old 22nd overall pick this spring was making just his third appearances of his rookie season on Monday night, but we shouldn't expect him back on the field soon. Expect Buffalo's offense to attack Tennessee's shaky secondary in the second half of this game.
TennesseeTitans.com's Jim Wyatt doesn't expect rookie cornerback Caleb Farley (back) to be on the field for Day 1 of training camp later this month. Farley is expected to join the team at some point, but it's currently unclear when that might be. The good news is that the 22-year-old from Virginia Tech is reportedly making good progress. Farley has the talent to be a dynamic shutdown corner at the NFL level, but his health will need to cooperate for that to happen. He's great in man coverage but can also excel in a zone scheme because of his ability to react and read the quarterback. If he stays on the field in his first season, he should definitely be able to improve Tennessee's secondary.
