The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Temple outside linebacker Chapelle Russell with the 241st overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft in the seventh round. Russell racked up 72 tackles without any sacks or interceptions in 13 games played in his final year in college. He's undersized at 6-foot-2, 236 pounds in the middle of the field, but he has some range to work with and can cover tight ends on occasion. Russell will need to get better at diagnosing plays pre-snap if he wants to win a roster spot and compete for a backup role in Tampa's defense.
