Chiefs Sign Corey Coleman

The Kansas City Chiefs signed former New York Giants wide receiver Corey Coleman to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday, according to a source. Coleman was a first-round pick (15th overall) by the Cleveland Browns in 2016, but he never lived up to the billing and has 61 receptions for 789 yards and five touchdowns in three NFL seasons. He hasn't played since 2018 with the New York Giants, when he caught five of eight targets for 71 yards in eight games (one start). The 27-year-old will be battling for a roster spot in training camp this summer, and he could help replace Byron Pringle as receiver depth. Demarcus Robinson could be headed elsewhere in free agency, too.

Corey Coleman Suspended For Six Games

Free-agent wide receiver Corey Coleman has been suspended by the NFL for the first six games of the 2021 season due to a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Coleman was the 15th overall pick of the Cleveland Browns back in 2016. He played in just 19 games for Cleveland in his first two seasons before joining the Giants in 2018. Most recently, the 26-year-old from Baylor was released from the Giants practice squad in November of last season. Coleman hasn't played in an NFL game in the last two years, and this off-the-field setback won't help him as he tries to land a gig with a new team heading into the 2021 season.

Corey Coleman Re-Signs With Giants

The New York Giants re-signed wide receiver Corey Coleman to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to a source. Coleman, a first-round pick back in 2016 by the Browns, is seven months removed from a torn ACL that kept him out for all of the 2019 season, but he's expected to be ready for organized team activities. He'll turn 25 years old on July 6 and was expected to be the team's No. 3 receiver entering last season. In 27 career games in the NFL, Coleman has 61 catches for 789 yards and five touchdowns. He'll have to prove he's healthy this summer as he battles for playing time behind Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate and Darius Slayton. He might still be worth stashing in dynasty/keeper leagues, but 2020 will be a make-or-break season for him in those setups.

Corey Coleman Tears ACL

New York Giants wide receiver Corey Coleman has suffered a torn ACL in training camp and will miss the entire 2019 season. Coleman, a former first-round pick, had a chance to contribute as a starting wide receiver for the Giants, but that's over now. With Coleman gone and Sterling Shepard (thumb) not a lock to play in Week 1 yet, there are more opportunities available for Golden Tate, Darius Slayton, and Cody Latimer.

Corey Coleman Has Big Opportunity In 2019

New York Giants wide receiver Corey Coleman, the former first-round pick of the Browns, is the early favorite to be the team's No. 3 receiver behind Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate. Coleman has 61 catches for 789 yards and five touchdowns since he was the 15th overall pick in 2016. He still has first-round talent and is in a make-or-break season with the Giants. If Coleman can learn multiple positions and pick up this offense, he could surprise some folks in 2019. At best, he'll be a deep league sleeper entering the fall.

Corey Coleman Added To Active Roster

The New York Giants added wide receiver Corey Coleman from the practice squad to their active roster on Thursday. The former first-round pick of the Browns in 2016 was traded to the Bills before the season and was cut by Buffalo and the Patriots before landing with New York. The Giants are hurting for depth behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard, but Coleman is unlikely to come into fantasy relevance anytime soon.

Giants Sign Corey Coleman To Practice Squad

The New York Giants signed free-agent Corey Coleman to their practice squad on Thursday, according to a source. Coleman was traded to the Bills by the Browns before the season and then was cut before signing with New England and being cut again. His stock is obviously way down and he's highly unlikely to carve out a role with the Giants let alone make the active roster. It's even hard to justify stashing him in dynasty/keeper leagues at this point.

Patriots Add Corey Coleman To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots re-signed wide receiver Corey Coleman to their practice squad on Wednesday after releasing him. Coleman has been tossed around like a rag doll on the NFL transaction list so far this year after proving to be a first-round bust in Cleveland. He is well off the fantasy radar.

Patriots Cutting Corey Coleman

The New England Patriots are cutting wide receiver Corey Coleman on Monday in order to make room for Josh Gordon on the roster, according to a source. The Patriots released one former Brown after trading for a Brown. Coleman has now been traded and released from two teams in 2018 after proving to be a first-round bust so far in his early career. He should resurface with another receiver-needy team, but he is well off the fantasy radar in all leagues.

Patriots Signing Corey Coleman

The New England Patriots are signing free-agent wide receiver Corey Coleman to a one-year deal, according to a source informed of the deal. The former first-round pick was traded from the Browns to the Bills before the season and was then released by Buffalo. The Patriots depth at receiver is thin with Julian Edelman suspended three more games. Coleman has been a first-round bust so far, missing 13 games in two years due to injuries and also struggling with drops. But if any team could turn him around, it'd be the Patriots. It won't be easy for Coleman to learn this complex offense, though, and it'll likely take time. He's not a redraft option but is an intriguing stash in dynasty leagues if you have the room.
