Danny Amendola News

Danny Amendola Should Be Active Against Green Bay

Detroit Lions wide receiver Danny Amendola could be in line for more targets against the Packers in Week 2. After leading the team with 81 receiving yards in Week 1, Amendola could be in line for a larger role if teammate Kenny Golladay (hamstring) can't play. The veteran receiver was not able to produce against Green Bay last season but Amendola was a safety valve for quarterback Matthew Stafford to start the season. Despite the higher snap-count coming his way, Amendola is not fantasy viable for Week 2.

Danny Amendola Leads Lions With 81 Receiving Yards

Detroit Lions wide receiver Danny Amendola caught five passes for a team-high 81 yards in the Lions 27-23 defeat by the hands of the Bears in Week 1. Amendola was targeted seven times and none was bigger than a 32-yard reception that brought the Lions into the red zone with seconds to play in the game. With star receiver Kenny Golladay out with a hamstring, Amendola stepped up with a solid performance. But Amendola's fantasy value will be tied to Golladay's health heading into Week 2.

Danny Amendola, Jeff Okudah Questionable Against Bears

Detroit Lions wide receiver Danny Amendola (hamstring) and cornerback Jeff Okudah (hamstring) are questionable for Week 1 against the Bears. Amendola was limited in practice all week, so he has a pretty good chance of suiting up. With Kenny Golladay (hamstring) doubtful to play, Amendola could see his fair share of targets from quarterback Matthew Stafford, albeit against a strong Bears defensive front. If you're feeling frisky, Amendola will be a deep sleeper as a flex play in PPR leagues and DFS contests. Okudah was the third overall pick in this year's draft and should be a shutdown corner for Detroit. He was limited in practice the last two days, so we should see him out there making his NFL debut.
