Free-agent defensive end DeMarcus Ware announced his retirement from football Monday at the age of 34. He leaves the game with 138.5 sacks, which is the eighth most in NFL history. Ware was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times and was a four-time first-team All-Pro. The Broncos were considering re-signing Ware, so his absence in 2017 will need to be plugged elsewhere. If the Broncos' feared pass rush is to remain among the league's elite, another body will need to step up opposite Von Miller.
