Deneric Prince Fantasy

Kansas City Chiefs running Deneric Prince is now a member of the team's practice squad. The undrafted rookie was waived by the team on Tuesday as they cut their roster down to 53 players. The rookie out of Tulsa impressed early on in OTA's and training camp, creating theories that he could make the team. So, it came as no surprise that the Chiefs wanted him back in the building. Veteran running back La'Mical Perine is also a member of the practice squad. Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Jerick McKinnon will serve as the backs on Kansas City's active roster.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Deneric Prince was waived by the team on Tuesday as they cut their roster down to 53. Early on in OTA's and training camp, there was a thought that the undrafted rookie out of Tulsa could crack the Chiefs roster but that proved to be false. It's highly likely that the team will try and bring back via the practice squad if he goes unclaimed. The Chiefs will head into the regular season with Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Jerick McKinnon as their top three backs.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Deneric Prince is not expected to make the 53-man roster, according to a new projection from Nate Taylor of The Athletic (via 32BeatWriters on X). The rookie drew plenty of hype earlier in the offseason but seemingly lost ground on his bid for a roster spot after a strong preseason from La'Mical Perine. As it stands, Kansas City is trending towards keeping Isiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Perine on its roster. They would surely love to stash Prince on their practice squad if they can sneak him by the other 31 teams.
