Harrison Mevis Looks to Maintain Heavy Involvement in Week 13

Los Angeles Rams kicker Harrison Mevis finally kicked his first NFL field goal during his third game last Sunday. He remains perfect on kicks this season, and his strong stretch of games prompted the Rams to release fellow kicker Joshua Karty on Friday. Mevis now has the position group all to himself, and he's surging at the right time. He went 4-for-4 on extra points and 2-for-2 on field goals last week, including one from beyond 50 yards out. He remains a perfect 13-for-13 on extra points and 2-for-2 on field goals since joining the Rams and making his NFL debut. This week, Mevis takes on a Panthers team allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to opposing kickers in 2025. Despite this tougher matchup, Mevis is a promising fantasy kicker thanks to how frequently the Rams get into scoring position. He's certainly worth streaming and starting this weekend. After all, he ranks as the overall K6 in RotoBaller's Week 13 fantasy rankings.

Harrison Mevis Still a Risky Option Despite High Ceiling

Los Angeles Rams kicker Harrison Mevis has been perfect in two games with his new team, but without attempting a field goal yet, he's tougher to trust in fantasy football. He's now 9-for-9 on extra points through two weeks, but without any attempts from longer range, he hasn't been able to rack up significant fantasy totals. With that being said, the Rams have one of the strongest offenses in football, which means scoring opportunities aren't hard to come by. Lately, their scoring drives have been resulting in touchdowns rather than stalling in field-goal range. This is a great problem to have if you're the Rams, but fantasy managers invested in Mevis' success would like to see him attempt some field goals sooner rather than later. It's only a matter of time before that happens, but it's not guaranteed this week; the Bucs have allowed the fourth-fewest field goal attempts to opposing kickers in 2025. Although Mevis has top-12 upside in the Rams' high-scoring offense, he's a very risky option. Managers should look for safer kickers who have an equally high ceiling when setting their Week 12 lineups.

Harrison Mevis Elevated To Active Roster

The Los Angeles Rams elevated kicker Harrison Mevis to their active roster from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's divisional showdown against the Seattle Seahawks. Mevis signed with the Rams in early November and will kick in his second NFL game in Week 11 in place of Joshua Karty, who has struggled this season. He made all six extra points last week against the 49ers, but didn't attempt any field goals. The 23-year-old steps into one of the most favorable fantasy situations for a kicker with an elite Rams offense that produces plenty of scoring opportunities. Mevis immediately ranks as one of the better kickers to own in fantasy, coming in at No. 12 in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 11.

Harrison Mevis Looks to Build on Busy NFL Debut

Los Angeles Rams kicker Harrison Mevis is a strong fantasy option for Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks. Mevis made his NFL debut last weekend, kicking in place of the struggling Joshua Karty. He went 6-for-6 on extra points but did not attempt a field goal. While Mevis' fantasy output was modest due to the lack of field goal attempts, we can't fault him for Los Angeles scoring six touchdowns. Rather, managers should be optimistic about Mevis' value going forward in an offense that routinely reaches scoring position. Head coach Sean McVay recently confirmed that Mevis will kick in Week 11, which means the Rams will elevate him from the practice squad on Saturday. He ranks #12 among kickers in RotoBaller's Week 11 rankings.

Harrison Mevis to Kick Again for Rams in Week 11

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said on Monday that rookie Harrison Mevis will be the team's kicker again for a Week 11 divisional showdown against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. The Rams made the switch to Mevis over the struggling Joshua Karty in their Week 10 win over the San Francisco 49ers. The 23-year-old wasn't tested with any field-goal tries on Sunday, but he did make all six of his extra-point opportunities for the Rams. Karty remains on the team's 53-man roster, so Mevis will need to perform to stick around. Mevis lacks experience, but he could quickly become a fantasy consideration at the kicking position if he's successful in one of the best offenses in football.

Harrison Mevis an Unknown Commodity with Upside in New Opportunity

Los Angeles Rams kicker Harrison Mevis has won the kicking job for Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers, so he'll make his NFL debut on Sunday. The 23-year-old is active over Joshua Karty, who had already missed eight kicks through eight games. Mevis has bounced around the NFL with several teams, but he has not yet appeared in a game. The Missouri product has upside given the Rams' extreme offensive success this year, but without any sort of NFL track record, he also has a very low floor. Managers should only add Mevis if they're desperate, as he ranks #17 among kickers in this week's RotoBaller expert rankings for fantasy football.

Harrison Mevis to Kick in Week 10 Over Joshua Karty

The Los Angeles Rams will go with Harrison Mevis as their placekicker in Week 10 against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, according to Nate Atkins of The Athletic. Joshua Karty is now the No. 2 kicker, although the Rams will play the kicking situation on a week-to-week basis right now. Atkins writes that the Rams like Mevis for his big leg after he had success in the USFL. Los Angeles signed Mevis to their practice squad earlier this week to compete with the struggling Karty, who has gone 10-for-15 on his field-goal attempts this year and 23-for-26 on extra-point tries in eight games in his second year in the NFL. If it doesn't work out with Mevis, the Rams can turn back to Karty or bring in another kicker from outside the organization. If Mevis proves himself worthy of keeping the job, he could quickly garner fantasy attention in all leagues.
