Isaiah Wynn News
The Miami Dolphins re-signed offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn (quadriceps) to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Shawn O'Dare. Wynn will return to South Beach for his second season with the team. He started seven games for the Dolphins last year before landing on Injured Reserve with a quadriceps injury. The 28-year-old former 23rd overall pick of the New England Patriots in 2018 out of Georgia was great in pass protection for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa before his season-ending injury, but he proved to be a liability as a blocker for the running game. Wynn has started 47 of the 50 games he's played in his career through five NFL seasons, but he's going to need to improve his run-blocking if he wants to continue in a starting job on Miami's offensive line in 2024.
Miami Dolphins offensive guard Isaiah Wynn (quadriceps) will likely miss multiple weeks after getting injured in the Sunday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Because he's likely to miss multiple weeks, the Dolphins could elect to put Wynn on Injured Reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games. The 27-year-old will be replaced on the offensive line by either Liam Eichenberg or Robert Jones at left guard, starting in Week 8 against the division-rival New England Patriots. The Dolphins were also without left tackle Terron Armstead and center Connor Williams, so their offensive line is really hurting now. Wynn started all seven games to begin the year and hadn't allowed a single sack.
Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn (quad) left Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a quad issue he suffered in the second quarter. The Dolphins can't afford to lose any more bodies on the offensive line as they already have two starters out. This will be an injury to monitor for fantasy managers who have stock in the Dolphins offense since the Eagles defensive line does a good job at getting pressure up the middle.
