He lost most of his explosiveness when he tore his ACL in 2015, and he bounced around several teams the last couple seasons. It might be a stretch for him to get into the Hall of Fame, but Charles was one of the most effective all-around backs in his heyday.

Darkwa and Charles remain unrestricted free-agents and will stay in the unemployment line for now. Darkwa appeared in 15 games for the New York Giants last season, posting a career-high 751 yards, five rushing touchdowns and 4.4 yards per tote on 171 carries. He is still just 26, and should find work with an organization at some point. Charles is 31 years old, and has a lot more mileage on his legs. It isn't a given that he'll land a job in 2018, and if he does it will be in a reserve role at this point of his career.
