Per the team, the Seattle Seahawks have re-signed linebacker Josh Ross to a one-year, $1.03 million deal. He appeared in 10 games last season for Seattle and earned his salt on special teams. The 25-year-old played 67% of the Seahawks' snaps there after his acquisition off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. He registered four tackles. Ross is currently buried on the team's depth chart and figures to serve as a depth piece and special-teams contributor again in 2025. It's worth mentioning that the Michigan native continues his familiarity with head coach Mike Macdonald, who he has played under in college at Michigan and during his time in Baltimore.

Baltimore Ravens second-year inside linebacker Josh Ross didn't stand out at last week's mandatory minicamp, and he'll be facing an uphill battle to make the team in 2023 after having a nice training camp last year as an undrafted free agent. Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen are the starters at linebacker, while Malik Harrison and third-round rookie Trenton Simpson figure to be the top backups. If the Ravens take five inside linebackers into the regular season, Ross will have to beat out Del'Shawn Phillips and Kristian Welch, who the Ravens value for their special teams contributions. The 23-year-old only played in two games in his rookie season in 2022 and finished with two total tackles.
