Josh Perkins Could Be a Solid Low-Cost Wild Card Option
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Josh Perkins could be a solid low-cost option if DFS leagues on Wild Card Weekend. If Zach Ertz (ribs, kidney) is unable to play against the Seattle Seahawks, Perkins will be an almost every-down player along with Dallas Goedert. If Ertz does play, Perkins will have little to no value, but he's shaping up as a solid TE2 and should be among the cheaper DFS options.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Joshua Perkins caught four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown in a Week 17 win over the New York Giants. Perkins' touchdown came on a 24-yard pass from quarterbackCarson Wentz near the end of the first half. He ended up with the same number of catches as Dallas Goedert and could have some low-cost DFS value next week if Zach Ertz (ribs) is forced to miss wild-card weekend.
Josh Perkins Shows Up With Five Catches in Week 14
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Josh Perkins made five catches in Week 14, totaling 37 yards. He was targeted five times and caught all five balls thrown his way. Perkins entered the game without a catch since the fourth game of the preseason, but with the Eagles struggling mightily to field a group of healthy wide receivers, Perkins was thrust into a significant role. Even with a favorable matchup against Washington next week, Perkins won't be a recommended fantasy option.
The Philadelphia Eagles promoted tight end Josh Perkins from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday. They also activated cornerback Cre'Von LeBlanc from Injured Reserve and waived defensive tackle Albert Huggins. Perkins' promotion could be a sign that tight end Zach Ertz (hamstring), who is questionable for Week 13 against the Dolphins, won't play on Sunday. Ertz is a top-three tight end if active, but his owners must prepare for the possibility that he won't play. Dallas Goedert would be a strong TE1 option if Ertz sits out. Perkins caught five passes for 67 yards in nine games for Philly in 2018, but he won't be fantasy relevant if Ertz is inactive.
