Kareem Jackson Tests Positive For COVID-19

Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a source. Jackson has cold-like symptoms but expects to make a full recovery. Teammate Von Miller acknowledged that he tested positive earlier this spring, but he's already made a full recovery and should be completely fine for training camp. Several other NFL players have tested positive for COVID-19 this offseason, including Saints head coach Sean Payton. The league will be implementing strict healthy and safety policies at team facilities when/if players can finally report for training camp next month. There will surely be positive cases around the league during training camp and if/when the 2020 regular season begins.

Broncos Defense Without Kareem Jackson Sunday

Denver Broncos cornerback Kareem Jackson (hamstring) is inactive for Week 4 against the Jaguars. With cornerback Bryce Callahan (foot) also out, Jacksonville's receivers could be looking at a nice day. However, shutdown cornerback Chris Harris Jr. will likely be tasked with shutting down either D.J. Chark or Dede Westbrook. Chark has the most upside in this offense as a WR3 as quarterback Gardner Minshew's favorite target early in the season.

Broncos Defense Could Be Without Kareem Jackson

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said that defensive back Kareem Jackson (hamstring) is "truly questionable" for Week 4 against the Jaguars. Jackson didn't practice on Wednesday and won't participate on Thursday either. If Jackson is inactive, it'll mean more playing time for Duke Dawson on Sunday. Denver's defense hasn't been terrible, but they've been a disappointment with zero sacks in three games. Until they figure it out and start harassing opposing quarterbacks, they'll remain a borderline startable fantasy unit. Being without Jackson certainly won't help matters, but it would be good news for Jaguars receivers D.J. Chark and Dede Westbrook.
