The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with free-agent linebacker Kenneth Murray on Monday on a two-year deal worth $15.5 million with a maximum value of $18 million, according to a source. The Los Angeles Chargers took Murray with the 23rd overall pick in the first round in 2020 out of Oklahoma. In his four seasons with the Bolts, the 25-year-old recorded 321 tackles (214 solo), five sacks, 21 tackles for loss, nine QB hits, two interceptions, 10 passes defensed and a forced fumble in 59 games (53 starts). Murray will help replace Azeez Al-Shaair, who was the Titans' leading tackler in 2023. It's the Chargers second first-rounder, as they took Oregon QB Justin Herbert sixth overall. The Bolts are getting a three-down linebacker who can cause chaos from sideline to sideline. He plays downhill with tremendous physicality and energy, and he's a player that most teams were infatuated with on and off the field in the pre-draft process. The middle of the defense was the Chargers weakness, so Murray should fit in right away to improve that weakness. LA's defense/special teams should be highly coveted by fantasy owners with Murray now in the fold. The Patriots received a second- and third-round pick from the Chargers with this swap.
