Luke Falk Struggles Again Sunday

New York Jets quarterback Luke Falk had an afternoon to forget Sunday in Philadelphia. Falk completed 15 of 26 passes for only 120 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. In fairness to Falk both of his starts were on the road in tough matchups, but he has made it abundantly clear he is not a starting-caliber NFL quarterback and all of the Jets fantasy assets have suffered as a result. Starter Sam Darnold (mono) was not cleared by doctors to suit up at the Eagles, but he was back at practice last week so hopefully he'll be back under center for the Jets next week when they host the Cowboys.

Luke Falk To Start For Jets Sunday

New York Jets quarterback Luke Falk will make his second career start Sunday at the Eagles. Falk has struggled after being forced into action in Week 2, he's only thrown for 296 yards in a game and a half with no touchdowns and an interception. In fairness to the backup QB, those games were against the Browns and Patriots, two of the tougher defenses in the league. Falk should have more success Sunday against an Eagles Defense that allows the fifth-most points to opposing quarterbacks. Falk is not recommended in seasonal leagues, but the good matchup should at least give him a chance to make the other offensive weapons on the Jets worth starting.

Luke Falk Struggles In New England

New York Jets quarterback Luke Falk was dreadful Sunday in New England completing 12 of 22 passes for 98 yards. Falk didn't lead a touchdown drive and threw an interception in the ugly loss. Falk was serviceable in Week 2 when he was forced into action, but the Patriots Defense completely dominated today sacking Falk five times and giving up only 105 total yards. The Jets have a much-needed bye next week before another tough matchup at Philadelphia in Week 5. The team hopes starting QB Sam Darnold (mono) will be healthy enough to play, but if not all the Jets fantasy options need to be downgraded with Falk under center.

Luke Falk Ready For First Career Start

New York Jets quarterback Luke Falk is confident heading into his first NFL start despite facing one of the worst matchups possible, an away game at New England. Falk served as a backup in Miami last year so he knows Adam Gase's offense and Gase said they are prepared to let Falk throw downfield more after being conservative with him Monday night when Falk was forced into action a day after being on the practice squad. Falk was serviceable on Monday completing 20 of 25 passes for 198 yards but faces long odds on Sunday behind an offensive line that's given up eight sacks already this year and facing a defense that's given up only three points total. Falk has no fantasy value and the other Jets should be downgraded as well with Falk starting.

Luke Falk Serviceable In Relief Appearance

New York Jets quarterback Luke Falk completed 20 passes in 25 attempts for 198 yards coming off the bench Monday night. Falk had no touchdowns and no interceptions in emergency duty after Trevor Siemian (ankle) left with an injury in the first half. Given the situation, Falk played a decent game but is not someone fantasy owners need to pay attention to, especially with a trip to New England lined up for next week. However, Falk did pepper Le'Veon Bell with 10 targets and made several good throws to Robby Anderson in garbage time so the Jets other fantasy assets could still be usable if Falk has to make a start next week.

Dolphins Claim Luke Falk On Waivers

The Miami Dolphins claimed quarterback Luke Falk on waivers on Sunday. Falk was a sixth-round pick by the Titans this year but didn't make the team's final roster. With Brock Osweiler and David Fales both making the roster behind starter Ryan Tannehill, Falk could be ticketed for the practice squad.

Luke Falk Unimpressive In Preseason Finale

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Luke Falk was given the entire fourth preseason game to show what he is capable of, but he struggled to move the offense down the field and finished with only 114 yards passing and no touchdowns. Falk never really looked too comfortable in the pocket despite having decent protection on the night. This game was likely Falk's last chance to convince the Titans to keep a third quarterback behind Marcus Mariota and Blaine Gabbert. Whether or not he did enough is yet to be seen, but he could have done a better job making his case to the staff on Thursday night.
