Marquise Brown News

Marquise Brown Misses Practice Thursday

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown (ankle) was absent from practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Brown could be truly questionable for Week 11 against the Texans, so his status on Friday is one to watch. He had a good game in Week 10 against the winless Bengals despite playing limited snaps, so the downfield speedster is truly a boom-or-bust WR3 in his rookie season on limited chances this year. He does have a good matchup against Houston's secondary if he plays, but he could come down to a game-time decision. Tight end Mark Andrews would have a higher ceiling as an elite TE1 if Brown misses this weekend. Baltimore's other receivers haven't proven fantasy relevant when Brown has missed time this year.

Marquise Brown Gets In Limited Practice

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Brown was targeted just four times in the blowout win over the Bengals in Week 10 and played limited snaps, but he made them count for 80 yards and his fourth touchdown of the season. The speedy deep threat should be fine to play in Week 11 in another great matchup against Houston's banged-up and inconsistent secondary. Brown is a boom/bust receiver in a run-first offense, but he has a good chance to hit his ceiling as a WR3 again this weekend.

Marquise Brown Leads Ravens In Receiving

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown came back to life in Week 10's blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Brown caught all four of his targets for 80 yards and a touchdown. Hollywood caught a wobbly 20-yard TD pass from quarterback Lamar Jackson in the third quarter to put Baltimore up 42-to-10. Since returning to the field in Week 9 from an ankle injury, Hollywood has caught 7-of-8 targets for 128 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Mark Andrews remains Jackson's most highly coveted target, but Brown brings big-play ability on every down. Hollywood is still the No. 1 receiver on the roster and could be a sneaky play in Week 11 against a Texans Defense that's allowed 13 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers in 2019.
