Maurice Canady Chooses To Opt Out Of The 2020 Season
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Maurice Canady has chosen to opt out of the 2020 season. Canady was on the Jets and Ravens last season, playing in 13 games and making three starts. He was expected to be a depth piece, although the entire Cowboys secondary is full of question marks after Byron Jones left to sign with the Miami Dolphins.
Baltimore Ravens reserve cornerback Maurice Canady (thigh) will miss Thursday's clash against the Cincinnati Bengals. Canady did not practice all week after reportedly tweaking the injury against Buffalo. He registered five tackles, with four being of the solo variety in Week 1. The third-year pro originally suffered a "minor strain" during practice in mid-August. Rookie Darius Williams will back up starter Brandon Carr as long as Canady is out.
