Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Michael Floyd caught three balls for 54 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's preseason game against the Eagles. With a little less than seven minutes to go before the half, rookie quarterback Trace McSorley threw a 28-yard dime to Floyd for the Ravens second touchdown of the game. Floyd is entering his eighth year and fifth team in just three seasons. He is toeing the line for a roster spot against the likes of Seth Roberts, Jaleel Scottand Jaylen Smith. Floyd likely shouldn't be in your fantasy sights this season, but performances in preseason may earn him a spot on the depth chart.
The Baltimore Ravens are signing free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd to an undisclosed deal on Friday, according to a source. Baltimore is a good landing spot for Floyd, but there's still no guarantee that he'll make the final roster out of training camp. The 13th overall pick in 2012 by the Cardinals, Floyd has played for four different teams in the last three years and has 20 catches for 178 yards and one score in the last two seasons (24 games) for the Vikings and Redskins. He'll be a long shot to return any fantasy relevance for a run-first squad if he makes the team.
The Washington Redskins are signing free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd on Monday, according to a source. Washington clearly isn't happy with the production they are getting from Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson, so they are bringing in some competition/depth. They also added former first-rounder Breshad Perriman on Monday. Floyd didn't make final cuts with the Saints and had just 10 catches for 78 yards in 11 games with Minnesota in 2017. He hasn't done much of anything since he was cut by the Cardinals back in 2015.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Floyd has been released on Friday, according to a source. Floyd posted a 1,000-yard season with the Cardinals in his second year in the NFL in 2013. A DUI arrest in 2016 ended his time in Arizona and has really been the downfall in his career so far, as he hasn't found his way back onto the fantasy map since then. He's bounced around with the Patriots and Vikings since.
The New Orleans Saints are signing free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd on Tuesday, according to a source. Ever since a DUI arrest while with the Arizona Cardinals in 2016, Floyd has been well off the fantasy radar. He managed a 1,000-yard season with Arizona in 2013 on 65 catches. The former first-round pick in 2012 played in just 11 games for Minnesota last year and had 10 catches for 78 yards. He'll likely just be depth for New Orleans.
The Baltimore Ravens worked out free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd, according to a source. Since recording 1,000 yards receiving and five touchdowns with the Cardinals in 2013, his second year in the league, Floyd has been a disappointment and declined rapidly. Several off-field incidents haven't helped his cause, and he totaled just 10 catches for 78 yards in 11 games for the Vikings last season. Baltimore has already added wideouts Michael Crabtree and John Brown in free agency, so Floyd would likely just be depth and insurance. His days of fantasy relevance appear over.
Minnesota Vikings wide receivers Michael Floyd (hamstring) and Laquon Treadwell (toe) both practiced in full Wednesday. Both should be fine to suit up in Week 10 against the Redskins, but neither are fantasy-relevant and are fighting against each other for targets as the fourth receiving options, at best, for Case Keenum.
Stefon Diggs, Case Keenum, Michael Floyd Limited Wednesday
Minnesota Vikings wide receivers Stefon Diggs (groin) and Michael Floyd (hamstring) and quarterback Case Keenum (chest) were limited in practice Wednesday. Diggs is trending in the right direction to return in London against the Browns after missing the last two games. If he plays, he'll be on the WR2/3 borderline in a solid matchup, but his return will hurt Adam Thielen. Floyd hasn't done much in his limited time with Minnesota and is only worth stashing in deeper leagues. Keenum has performed admirably as a placeholder under center but has limited fantasy upside and is at best a midrange QB2.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd (hamstring) is inactive against the Ravens in Week 7. Floyd hasn't done anything for Minnesota since returning from his injury, and now he's injured. He's not on the fantasy radar. With him out, Laquon Treadwell should see more work in the passing game with Stefon Diggs (groin) out, too. However, Treadwell isn't a viable fantasy starter this weekend.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd (hamstring) returned to a limited practice Friday but is questionable for Week 7 against the Ravens. It looks like Floyd has a good chance to play after missing practice the previous two days. However, even with Stefon Diggs (groin) out again, Floyd is a desperation dart throw as a flex in deeper leagues. He's caught just two passes for 24 yards in his two games so far this year.
