Pittsburgh Steelers tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee) was injured in the team's 13-6 win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The severity of the 32-year-old's injury is unknown at this time. Pittsburgh is now 2-0 on the season despite scoring just one total touchdown through the two contests. Pruitt garnered two targets in last week's victory -- converting one for a gain of nine yards -- but was not as involved this Sunday, failing to earn a target from quarterback Justin Fields. Starting tight end, Pat Freiermuth caught four passes for the second week in a row, while Darnell Washington reeled in his only target for a five-yard score -- Pittsburgh's first of the season. Pruitt will not be a recommended option for fantasy managers -- even when healthy -- as a distant, desperate option on a run-centric Steelers' offense. They'll face the Los Angeles Chargers in their first home matchup of the season in Week 3.

MyCole Pruitt Agrees With Steelers
Free-agent tight end MyCole Pruitt agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, according to a source. Pruitt will reunite with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith after working with him in both Tennessee and Atlanta. The 32-year-old veteran had 25 receptions on 33 targets for 260 yards and five touchdowns in 30 games (12 starts) in the last two years with the Falcons. The former fifth-round pick (143rd overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 out of Southern Illinois has mostly been a blocking tight end in his nine years in the NFL and has never really been on the fantasy radar. In Pittsburgh, both Pruitt and Darnell Washington will pair to provide blocking for the team's running game, with Pat Freiermuth to continue his role as the primary pass-catching tight end.

MyCole Pruitt Finds The End Zone In Week 18
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt found the end zone in the team's 30-17 Week 18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran tight end caught three of five targets for 34 receiving yards against Tampa Bay. He scored 10.9 half-point PPR fantasy points in the game, a season-high. Furthermore, Pruitt's five targets were the third-most on the team, only behind Drake London (eight) and Olamide Zaccheaus (seven). Since taking over for an injured Kyle Pitts (knee), the veteran has averaged six fantasy points per game, scoring three touchdowns. Pruitt ended the year with four receiving touchdowns, the most on the team, despite having only 16 receptions this season.

MyCole Pruitt Worth Consideration In Week 18
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt has taken over as the starter with Kyle Pitts (knee) out for the year. The veteran tight end has averaged five half-point PPR fantasy points per game since replacing Pitts as the starter. While he had a season-high 49 receiving yards last week against the Arizona Cardinals, Pruitt scored three total fantasy points over the previous two contests. Meanwhile, the veteran has a solid matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. The NFC South division winners have surrendered 11.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, the eighth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, the Buccaneers have given up four receiving touchdowns to tight ends over the past six weeks. Pruitt isn't an ideal starter for season-long leagues, but a decent cheap DFS option for Week 18.

MyCole Pruitt Leads The Team In Receiving Yards
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt had his best performance this year in the team's 20-19 Week 17 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran tight end had only four targets in the game. However, he caught all four for 49 receiving yards, scoring 6.9 half-point PPR fantasy points in the win. More importantly, his 49 receiving yards led the team in Week 17. Pruitt has been solid since taking over as the starting tight end for an injured Kyle Pitts (knee). Yet, it hasn't turned into meaningful fantasy production, averaging only five fantasy points per game over the past five contests. Next week the Falcons face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a meaningless game for both squads. Maybe he can find the end zone for the fourth time this season.

MyCole Pruitt Has An Excellent Matchup
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt has done his best as the starter since Kyle Pitts (knee) suffered a season-ending injury. However, the veteran tight end has averaged only 4.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game in his four starts this season. Furthermore, he has averaged only two targets per game over the past four contests, including only one last week against the Baltimore Ravens. After scoring a pair of touchdowns in Weeks 12 and 13, Pruitt has scored three total fantasy points over the past two weeks. While the Arizona Cardinals have surrendered 14.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, the second-most in the NFL, Pruitt belongs on the waiver wire in every league.

MyCole Pruitt Held Without A Catch
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt was held without a catch in the team's 17-9 Week 16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Yet, fantasy players shouldn't be surprised by his performance. Pruitt has two touchdowns since taking over as the starting tight end. However, he has scored only 4.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game since Kyle Pitts (knee) was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Of his 29.2 fantasy points this season, 61.6% have been from his three touchdowns. Next week the Falcons take on the Arizona Cardinals. While they have been one of the most fantasy-friendly teams to tight ends this season, fantasy players have no reason to add Pruitt to their roster.

MyCole Pruitt Not Worth Consideration In Week 16
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt has taken over as the starting tight end with Kyle Pitts (knee) out for the year. The veteran tight end has two touchdowns over the past three games as the starter. However, he has totaled only six half-point PPR fantasy points during that span. More importantly, Pruitt hasn't scored more than 7.9 fantasy points in any game this season despite the two receiving touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens have held tight ends to only nine fantasy points per game this season, below the league average. Furthermore, they have given up only one touchdown to tight ends over the past five weeks. Pruitt has no fantasy value.

MyCole Pruitt Totals 20 Yards
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt had 20 receiving yards in the team's 21-18 Week 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The veteran tight end has taken over as the starter with Kyle Pitts (knee) done for the year. Over the past two games, Pruitt has two touchdowns and 15.1 half-point PPR fantasy points. However, he had only three fantasy points today despite finishing with the second-most targets on the team. Fantasy players hopefully didn't chase the points and pick up the veteran tight end after he found the end zone in his previous two contests. The change at quarterback won't make Pruitt's fantasy relevant, even in the deepest leagues. Fantasy players can ignore the veteran tight end. He has no fantasy value.

MyCole Pruitt Belongs On The Waiver Wire
Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt has filled in for Kyle Pitts (knee) as the starter. Since the second-year tight end went on the injured reserve list, the veteran has scored two touchdowns. However, he did that on only four targets. By comparison, Pitts had two touchdowns on 59 targets before getting hurt. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints have shut down tight ends this season. They have surrendered only 6.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game to the position, the third-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, the Saints have given up only two touchdowns to tight ends this year, the fifth-fewest in the league. Fantasy players have no reason to add Pruitt to their fantasy team this week.
