Free-agent linebacker Nicholas Morrow is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, as reported by NFL insider Mike Garafolo. The 2017 undrafted free agent started 12 games for the Philadelphia Eagles last year, his lone season with the organization. Overall, the 28-year-old has posted 465 tackles, seven sacks, three forced fumbles, three interceptions, 27 passes defended, and 41.5 run stuffs through his first 94 games with the Raiders, Bears, and Eagles. He is likely to compete for a starting spot in Sean McDermott's defense during training camp.
Free-agent linebacker Nicholas Morrow agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, according to a source. In his lone season with the Chicago Bears in 2022, Morrow had a career-best 116 tackles (83 solo), 11 tackles for loss and an interception in 17 starts. The 27-year-old is a nice addition to the middle of the Eagles defense after they already lost some key defenders in free agency last week. While Morrow won't be a popular player in IDP fantasy drafts, he should at least be worth looking at as a streaming option again in 2023. In his five NFL seasons with the Bears and Las Vegas Raiders, Morrow has 370 tackles (268 solo), four sacks, 31 tackles for loss, 15 QB hits, three interceptions, 22 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 79 games (46 starts).
Nicholas Morrow Injured During Raiders Practice On Thursday
Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Nicholas Morrow (leg) had to be evaluated at the end of Thursday's joint practice with the LA Rams after what appeared to be a leg injury, Vincent Bonsignore reported. Head coach Jon Gruden didn't have a post-practice update on Morrow, who needed help from trainers to walk off the field. The 26-year-old is coming off a stand-out 2020 season in which recorded a career-high 78 tackles (eight for loss), three sacks, and an interception, and is expected to be equally productive this season for Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Raiders re-signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday, according to a source. Morrow was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Greenville University in 2017, and he started 11 games in 2020 while recording a career-high 78 tackles (eight for loss), three sacks and an interception. Only Cory Littleton logged more snaps that Morrow did last season, and he was the second-highest graded linebacker by Pro Football Focus on the roster behind Nick Kwiatkoski. The 25-year-old made just under $3.3 million in 2020 and figures to have signed for well north of that after his standout season. Morrow has 254 combined tackles (20 for loss), 15 QB hits, two interceptions, 20 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and four career sacks in 62 games (29 starts) in his four seasons with the Raiders.
