Falcons Sign Nick Folk to a Two-Year Deal

The Atlanta Falcons have signed kicker Nick Folk to a two-year contract, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. Folk spent 2025 with the New York Jets and is now heading to Atlanta for his 20th season in the NFL. He has played for four teams over five years, making appearances with the Patriots, Titans, Jets, and Falcons. He was a rare bright spot for New York last year, going 28-for-29 on field goals and 22-for-22 on extra points. The 41-year-old should benefit from a move to Atlanta, where he'll spend at least half of his games kicking inside a dome. He'll also offer the Falcons a refreshing upgrade at kicker after they trotted out a combination of Parker Romo and Zane Gonzalez in the aftermath of Younghoe Koo's early-season release.

Nick Folk Plans to Return for 19th NFL Season

Veteran kicker Nick Folk plans to return in 2026 for a 19th NFL season, and he is expected to be one of the top options on the kicking market at age 41, a source told Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. Folk is the league's most accurate kicker (96.3%) since 2023, missing just one field goal per year while going 18-for-20 from 50-plus yards and 75-for-77 on his extra-point tries. In his return to the New York Jets last year, Folk made 28 of his 29 field-goal attempts (7-for-8 from 50-plus yards) while making all 22 of his extra points in 16 games. He was money for the Jets, as he's been in the last three years, but he finished as just the No. 21 kicker in overall fantasy points because the Jets' offense was so bad. The former sixth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2007 out of Arizona has aged like fine wine and has made at least five kicks from 50-plus yards in each of the last three years. Folk isn't getting any younger, but he could certainly be a trustworthy fantasy option in 2026 if he lands in a better offense.

Nick Folk Holds Steady as a Reliable Streaming Option

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk should continue to be a reliable option in Week 14's home matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Folk has been superb when called upon in 2025, missing all but one of his field goal tries (22-of-23) and connecting on each of his 18 extra-point attempts. Even at the age of 41, the veteran's leg is no worse for wear, drilling six kicks of 50-plus yards, including last weekend's 56-yard game-winner. Unfortunately, New York's (lack of) scoring offense has held him back from being amongst the league leaders in points. Still, he'll get an opportunity to be a viable fantasy asset in Sunday's outing with the visiting Dolphins. The Jets have moved the ball better with quarterback Tyrod Taylor at the helm, and Miami's defense has softened in recent weeks. If New York can continue trending positively, Folk may see a modest uptick in scoring down the stretch. He'll land as RotoBaller's K19 in this week's ranks.

Nick Folk Not Consistent Enough to Rely on for Fantasy

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk is a low-end fantasy option for his team's contest with the visiting Carolina Panthers in Week 7. As has been the case all season, the veteran was perfect in Week 6, knocking through all three of his field goal attempts - a season-high. Carolina's defense has been stingy in the yardage department, but they're a bottom-half team in terms of scoring and one of the worst NFL teams regarding red zone efficiency. With that said, New York's offense may have trouble matriculating the ball sans its WR1 in Garrett Wilson. Folk has been excellent when called upon, and would be a reliable option if the Jets could find more offensive consistency. However, he again won't be a recommended fantasy asset despite what should be a juicy matchup. The 40-year-old is RotoBaller's K25 for this weekend's slate of games.

Nick Folk Remains Flawless in 2025

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk will get the opportunity to keep his perfect streak alive in Week 6 when his team lines up with the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The veteran has been uber-reliable over the previous few seasons, and he's carried that into 2025, beginning his second tenure with the Jets a perfect 9-for-9 on field goals and 7-for-7 on extra-point tries. Despite Folk's lethality in the kicking game, the inconsistencies of New York's offense have held him back from being more fantasy-relevant, and they could have trouble getting on the board again this weekend against a stout Denver defense. The Broncos have allowed the second-fewest points per game in the league thus far (16.8), and are particularly staunch toward opposing rushing attacks - the Jets' preferred mode of ball matriculation. Folk is hard to trust in a tough matchup, landing as RotoBaller's K29 for Sunday's meeting with the Broncos.

Nick Folk a Middling Week 5 Option

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk will look to continue his flawless kicking in Week 5 when his team squares off against the Dallas Cowboys at home. Folk is a perfect 14-for-14 this season (seven field goals), as he's now missed just three total kicks since the start of 2023. The veteran has been as reliable as anyone in 2025, but New York's low scoring volume has hindered him from becoming an elite fantasy option. With the Cowboys' offense pushing the pace of play and putting up the fifth-most points per game in the league (28.5), a productive week is in Folk's range of outcomes. However, the Jets' bottom-half offense and potential to bottom out make the 40-year-old a risky option for fantasy. He's RotoBaller's K22 ahead of Week 5.

Nick Folk Perfect Through Three Weeks

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk enters his Week 4 contest with the hosting Miami Dolphins perfect across all of his attempts on the season. The veteran has continued to demonstrate his reliability, drilling all five of his field goal attempts - including two from 50-plus - and is 6-for-6 on extra-point tries. New York has been a middle-of-the-pack team in terms of scoring (23 points per game), which is essentially the only thing holding Folk back from being fantasy-relevant. He could see a brief surge in fantasy points in Week 4, as Miami has been one of the more vulnerable defenses so far in 2025. However, there are other options out there that are better suited for fantasy lineups. Folk is RotoBaller's K27 ahead of Week 4's slate of games.

Nick Folk a Reliable Low-Volume Option

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk presents with more risk for this weekend's matchup with the hosting Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Los Angeles, California, native has yet to miss a kick during his second tenure with the Jets. He's a perfect 3-for-3 on both extra-point attempts and field goal tries through the first two weeks of 2025. While he's been precise in recent seasons, Folk falls victim to New York's reduced pace of play, as the team ranks near the bottom of the league with 109 offensive plays run (sixth-fewest). To further the case against the veteran, quarterback Justin Fields (concussion) will be replaced by journeyman signal-caller Tyrod Taylor, adding an extra variable. It's possible Baker Mayfield and the Bucs force New York to play at an elevated pace, but there should be better options out there to slot into fantasy managers' lineups at kicker. Folk ranks as RotoBaller's K31 this week.

Nick Folk a Back-End Week 2 Option

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk is one of the riskier options this week for his home matchup with the Buffalo Bills. The 40-year-old was a perfect 2-for-2 on field goal tries last weekend - including a 51-yarder - and knocked through both of his extra-point attempts - providing decent fantasy value in the loss. Folk has been deadly accurate across the past two campaigns. Over that stretch, he's a superb 50-of-52 on FGs, and 11-of-12 on ones from 50 or more yards out. While New York offered him plenty of opportunities for points in Week 1, it's unclear if the same will be true against Buffalo's defense. The University of Arizona product has a chance to be a modest producer in Week 2, but fantasy managers can likely find a better option than him. Folk is RotoBaller's K29 for his contest with the Bills.

Nick Folk Not Worthy of a Week 1 Start

New York Jets placekicker Nick Folk is set for an unfavorable matchup this Sunday when his team squares off against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. Folk appeared in 14 games for the Titans last season, boasting an excellent 95.5% (21-of-22) rate on field goal tries and knocking through all 25 of his extra-point attempts. The 40-year-old was a perfect 6-for-6 on tries of 50+ yards in 2024 and should be a reliable asset for the Jets this year. However, New York could have a difficult time moving the ball against the Steelers in Week 1. Furthermore, Pittsburgh allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers last season, and their matchup features the lowest opening-week combined point total in five years (38.5). Folk clocks in as RotoBaller's K31 to kick off 2025.
