Free-agent wide receiver Percy Harvin announced on his Twitter page on Monday that he is unretiring in order to make an NFL comeback. Harvin says he's healthy both mentally and physically, but it remains to be seen if any organization will take a chance on him this year with time running out before Week 1. The former first-round pick (22nd overall) in 2009 by the Vikings never reached his true potential, mainly because of injuries. Harvin played a full season once (2011) and most recently saw action in just two games with the Bills in 2016. It's a long shot that Harvin would carve out a big role if a team takes a chance on him.
Free-agent wide receiver Percy Harvin plans to retire for real this time and isn't participating in free agency, according to a representative for Harvin. "He's done (playing)," the rep said. Harvin played in just two games in 2016 and had two catches before his migraine issues resurfaced. The talented receiver never panned out in the NFL.
