Browns
The Cleveland Browns released veteran defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson on Tuesday, according to NFL.com. The 31-year-old appeared in five games for the Browns this season, totaling six tackles and one sack. Jefferson has spent time with six NFL organizations and has compiled 198 tackles, 27.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and 15.5 run stuffs in 108 career games. There might be interest around the league for his services, as defensive line depth has become more of a focal point.

Browns Sign Quinton Jefferson To One-Year Deal
The Cleveland Browns signed free-agent defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson (groin) to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to a league source. Jefferson started 14 games for the New York Jets in 2023 and had 34 tackles (13 solo), a career-high six sacks, 13 QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He eventually needed surgery on his groin, though. The 30-year-old veteran interior defensive lineman will be on his fifth different team in the last five seasons after playing on one-year deals each of the last five seasons with the Bills, Raiders, Seahawks and Jets the last four years. Jefferson is not on the IDP fantasy radar at all, but he'll provide veteran depth on the interior of Cleveland's defensive line in 2024.

Quinton Jefferson, John Franklin-Myers Injured On Sunday
New York Jets defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson (hip) won't return to Sunday's AFC meeting with the Miami Dolphins. Things haven't gone well for the Jets defense, considering the Dolphins are up big, building an impressive lead without Tyreek Hill (ankle). Hopefully for New York, Jefferson's injury isn't serious, especially since he had six sacks entering Week 15, one behind Bryce Huff for the most on the team. Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers (hip) is questionable to return, although safety Tony Adams (head) returned after being evaluated for a concussion.

Jets Sign Quinton Jefferson
The New York Jets have signed free-agent defensive end Quinton Jefferson on Thursday. Jefferson is coming off a decent season with the Seattle Seahawks last season. He recorded a career-high 5.5 sacks with 29 tackles, and six tackles for loss in 17 games (three starts) this past season. Jefferson doesn't grade too well in terms of PFF grading, but he should be able to make an impact as a rotational player.

Seahawks Release Quinton Jefferson
The Seattle Seahawks released defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson on Tuesday, according to a source. Jefferson will be one and done in Seattle after spending the first four seasons of his career with the team in his second stint with the Seahawks. He played for the Buffalo Bills in 2020 and the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021. In 17 games (three starts), Jefferson had 29 tackles (17 solo), a career-high 5.5 sacks, six tackles for loss and 13 QB hits last year. The 29-year-old former fifth-round pick by the Seahawks in 2016 should generate some interest on the open market as a rotational pass-rusher after a solid season in 2022.

Quinton Jefferson Returning To Seattle
Free-agent defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson said that he is signing with the Seattle Seahawks on an undisclosed two-year deal on Friday. Jefferson was taken in the fifth round of the 2016 draft by the Seahawks out of Maryland, and he spent his first four years in the NFL with the team. He played for the Buffalo Bills in 2020 and the Las Vegas Raiders last year, but he will now reunite with the team that drafted him. In 17 starts in 2021, Jefferson had a career-high 47 tackles (17 solo), five tackles for loss, 16 QB hits, two forced fumbles and 4.5 sacks. The 28-year-old will hopefully be a big improvement for a defensive line that struggled to get pressure on the opposing quarterback last season.

Quinton Jefferson, D-Line Shine For Seattle
Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson easily had his best game as a member of the team on Sunday when he racked up two sacks, three QB hits, and two pass deflections in Seattle's win against Cincy. Jefferson came up huge in big situations, deflecting one of those passes on a critical third down. His fellow defensive linemen were incredibly disruptive as well. Al Woods recovered a fumble, Jadeveon Clowney deflected a pass and registered a sack, and Rasheem Green forced a fumble. Seattle's defensive backs didn't have a good game, but the defensive line stepped up and looked like a star crew in the making.
