Robby Anderson News

Robby Anderson A Risky Flex Option

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson will face off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 after he enjoyed a huge start to his season. Anderson hauled in six of eight targets for 114 yards, including a long, 75-yard score. The matchup against the Buccaneers' secondary has potential, as they allowed the most pass plays of 20 yards or more and the fourth-most of 40 yards or more in 2019. However, it's an underrated defensive unit with a pass rush that might not give Teddy Bridgewater enough team to look deep down the field for Anderson. The 27-year-old is a flex start for fantasy managers in need of upside, though the floor is admittedly low in the event he busts against the Buccaneers.

Robby Anderson Gets Over 100 Yards In Debut

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson had a terrific debut with his new team in Week 1, notching six receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown. Surprisingly, it was Anderson who led all Carolina receivers in yards and receptions, but it was one 75-yard touchdown in which Anderson got most of his yards. With D.J. Moore still considered the WR1, the former Jet must continue to prove himself to become a weekly fantasy starter. He remains in the flex conversation for next week's tilt against the Buccaneers.

Robby Anderson A Flex, At Best, In Week 1

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson should be considered a flex option, at best, in this week's matchup against the Raiders. With Anderson making his Carolina debut this week, it remains to be seen how large of a role he will have in this passing offense. The WR will have to fend off Curtis Samuel if he wants to solidify the WR2 role on the team. The Raiders offer a middling matchup for opposing WRs. Anderson is a good flex consideration in fantasy this week, mostly because of the uncertainty regarding his usage.
