Seth Williams Fantasy Stats

The Dallas Cowboys released wide receiver Seth Williams following the acquisition of former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout George Pickens, according to NFL.com. The 25-year-old Williams was once a deep fantasy football sleeper coming out of Auburn. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos and spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Dallas practice squad last season. Williams has appeared in two NFL games, catching one pass for 34 yards. Needless to say, his hopes of being a full-time member of an active roster are likely over.

However, the team is loaded at receiver with Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton leading the way and KJ Hamler and Tim Patrick behind them. The 6'3" Williams was a sixth round pick out of Auburn this year. He was considered by some to be a steal in the draft. We'll see who takes a chance on him. He's worth keeping an eye on for dynasty league managers as he could have some long-term upside if he finds the right landing spot.

He's not the most consistent receiver in the world, but his athleticism gives him a shot to earn snaps as the third receiver on this Broncos team. Of course, their quarterback issues are a concern that could prevent Williams for doing much as a rookie.
