After missing Denver's first three preseason games with knee soreness, safety Su'a Cravens played well in his return to the field for the Broncos final preseason game. Unfortunately, it came at a cost, as his knee does not seem to have responded well and the Broncos have subsequently placed him on Injured Reserve. After a convoluted 2017 in which Cravens did not play a single snap for the Redskins, there's really no telling what the future looks like for this talented, young safety. But he'll be eligible to return in Week 9 if his knee responds to the procedure and all goes well with his recovery.
The Denver Broncos are acquiring safety Su'a Cravens and a fifth-round pick from the Washington Redskins in exchange for a fourth- and fifth-round pick, according to a source. Cravens missed all of last season and played in just 11 games in his rookie season for the 'Skins, compiling 34 tackles, one sack and one interception. He won't be much of an IDP option.
