The Pittsburgh Steelers shuffled reserve running backs on Saturday, releasing Terrell Watson and signing Fitzgerald Toussaint off their practice squad and onto the 53-man roster. Toussaint will operate as the team's No. 3 back behind starter Le'Veon Bell and rookie James Conner. Toussaint has appeared in 24 career games between the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, posting 112 rushing yards on 38 carries. He won't be a fantasy factor unless something happens to both Bell and Conner.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Terrell Watson is making a strong case to be part of the team after final roster cut downs next week. Watson has picked up 40 yards on eight carries this preseason and brings a power running aspect to the team's backfield. Head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters that Watson has a "distinguishing trait" as a downhill runner. While most of the focus has been on rookie James Conner as Le'Veon Bell's primary backup, Watson is making a case for the job as well. Look for him to see plenty of playing time in the Steelers' fourth preseason game.
