Colts Suspend Isaiah McKenzie, Tony Brown For Rest Of Season
The Indianapolis Colts are suspending wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and cornerback Tony Brown for the remainder of the 2023 season for "conduct detrimental to the team," according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. McKenzie caught just 11 passes for 82 yards in 13 games this year. Brown has appeared in 12 games, logging ten tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception. Neither player is a key contributor on offense or defense, but the Colts will have to fill their shoes with other depth options.
Indianapolis Colts cornerback Tony Brown has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's opener against the Texans. The 27-year-old has played 33 games over three seasons, spending time with the Packers and Bengals. During that span, he's accumulated 58 tackles (44 solo) and two forced fumbles. While Brown is likely thrilled to get another opportunity, fantasy managers shouldn't get too excited, primarily since he hasn't been a reliable IDP option over the years
The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed cornerback Tony Brown to an undisclosed deal. The team was also set to host former Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Riley Reiff on a free-agent visit on Wednesday. Brown was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and also spent two years with the Green Bay Packers before the Bengals picked him up off waivers just before the 2019 season ended. The former Alabama star appeared in 13 games (one start) for Cincinnati last season. He finished the 2020 campaign with seven solo tackles and one pass defensed in 187 defensive snaps played. Brown will turn 26 years old this summer.
