Trayvon Mullen News
The Baltimore Ravens have claimed defensive back Trayvon Mullen off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday. This could be a sneaky move by the Ravens who certainly need help in their secondary. Mullen is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2019. He has not lived up to expectations and was a part-time player with the Arizona Cardinals and Cowboys in 2022. Despite that, Mullen did show flashes of being a decent player during his first two seasons in the league. Possibly, the Ravens can turn him around and get Mullen back on track.
The Dallas Cowboys claimed cornerback Trayvon Mullen off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, according to his agent Kevin Conner. The Cardinals waived Mullen on Tuesday, but he'll quickly land with another NFC team. Mullen didn't perform up to expectations in eight games (zeros starts) for Arizona this year while dealing with a hamstring injury, picking up only 13 tackles (10 solo) and one pass defensed. The 25-year-old former second-rounder had 98 solo tackles in his first two NFL seasons for the Las Vegas Raiders, but he played in just five games for the silver and black in 2021 due to multiple injuries. It appears he still hasn't bounced back, but he could see significant playing time right away in Dallas due to their injuries in the secondary.
Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Trayvon Mullen (shoulder) has been deemed questionable to get back on the field for the remainder of Sunday's contest versus the Broncos due to a shoulder injury that he sustained in the first quarter. With Amik Robertson not in the mix in the secondary during Week 17, the Raiders may be forced to roll with Nevin Lawson and Damon Arnette for the remainder of the game should Mullen not return. Mullen made a pair of tackles prior to departing, bringing his total on the year up to 63. The Raiders defense saw their fantasy upside fade as the season wore on in 2020.
