Zay Jones Out for the Year With Torn Achilles

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (Achilles) tore his Achilles in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Additionally, the Cardinals will be without top wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. "this week and possibly longer" after he underwent surgery for appendicitis. Arizona's receiving corps will be very thin for quarterback Jacoby Brissett on Sunday against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. Tight end Trey McBride should be a target hog, with Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch stepping up as the top two receiving options in the passing attack. Jones, 30, wasn't really on the fantasy radar to begin with in 2025 in a struggling Cardinals offense. He will finish with just 12 catches for 183 yards and no touchdowns in his eight games played.

Cardinals to Place Zay Jones on Injured Reserve

The Arizona Cardinals will place wide receiver Zay Jones (Achilles) on Injured Reserve with an Achilles injury that he suffered in the Week 10 blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to Zach Gershman of AZCardinals.com. Jones wasn't really on the fantasy radar to begin with in standard-sized leagues, but now he'll be forced to miss at least the next four games for the Cardinals. The 30-year-old veteran pass-catcher had only 12 catches on 18 targets for 183 yards and no touchdowns through eight games this year in a struggling Cardinals passing game. With Jones out for the foreseeable future, Greg Dortch should see more targets, but he's only worth a waiver-wire pickup for WR depth in deeper leagues. The earliest that Jones will be able to return will be for a Week 15 matchup on Sunday, Dec. 14, against the Houston Texans on the road.

Zay Jones Injures Achilles, Won't Return in Week 10

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (Achilles) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 10 contest against the Seattle Seahawks. He exited in the second quarter after failing to haul in a pass from Jacoby Brissett. Jones finishes Sunday's game with just the one target and zero receptions. We'll need more information from the team before confirming a recovery timeline for Jones, but it's usually a bad sign when a player is quickly ruled out with an Achilles injury. As we wait for an update, the Cardinals will look to make a dent in a four-possession deficit near the end of the first half. Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch should occupy depth receiver roles behind Marvin Harrison Jr.

Zay Jones is Not Very Trustworthy in Week 9

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones was cleared from the injury report, but it may not matter in terms of whether or not he's startable in most fantasy leagues. While he has looked better in their last two games with Jacoby Brisset under center, Jones is currently the WR95 on the year, and until those last two games, he didn't register a finish above WR61 in half-PPR formats. One thing going for him is that the Dallas Cowboys give up the most fantasy points per game to opposing receiving corps, and Brissett is starting at least one more time. With that being said, Jones is not a trustworthy start for anyone that's not in a very deep league.

Zay Jones Cleared From Injury Report, Will Play on Monday Night

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) has been cleared from the injury report ahead of Monday night's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The 30-year-old was listed as a limited participant on Thursday and Friday before being upgraded to full on Saturday. Jones is coming off his two most productive games of the season before Arizona's Week 8 bye, catching both of his targets for 67 yards in Week 7 against the Packers and hauling in five of eight targets for 79 yards in their Week 6 loss at the Colts. The veteran has benefitted from Jacoby Brissett serving as the starting quarterback, which he is set to do again on Monday night against the Cowboys.

Zay Jones Listed as Questionable to Play in Week 7

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) is listed as questionable to play on Sunday against the visiting Green Bay Packers in Week 7, according to Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. Jones missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he was able to return to a limited session on Friday, giving him a chance to be active this weekend. The 30-year-old wideout had his best showing of the 2025 campaign in last Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, when he caught five of his eight targets from backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett for a season-high 79 yards. The caveat is that top receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (head) suffered a concussion early in that game and never returned. Harrison has since cleared the league's concussion protocol and has been cleared to play this Sunday, so Jones' chances of a repeat of his Week 6 are unlikely, if he even plays. If Jones is unable to play, Michael Wilson should serve as the team's WR behind Harrison.

Zay Jones Absent, Michael Wilson Limited on Wednesday

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's walkthrough, while Michael Wilson (foot) was listed as limited. The Cardinals suffered multiple injuries to wide receivers in Week 6, with Marvin Harrison Jr. leaving with a concussion as well. Jones is coming off his best game of the season, catching five of his eight targets for 79 yards. Wilson left early with an injury after catching four of five targets for 44 yards. Their statuses will be monitored throughout the week, and Greg Dortch would be a name to watch if Jones and Wilson are unable to play on Sunday.

Zay Jones in Line for Playing Time Spike in Arizona?

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones had by far his most productive game of the season in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, recording five catches for 79 yards on eight targets. Jones had hauled in just five catches for 37 yards on seven targets across four games heading into Week 6. The 30-year-old's production against Indianapolis was buoyed by the absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion), who exited Week 6 early due to a concussion. With Harrison Jr.'s status for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers in question, Jones could once again be called upon to play a larger role in his team's offense. Pending Harrison Jr.'s availability, Jones could be a deep-league waiver wire option as a short-term fill-in at the wide receiver position.

Zay Jones Suiting Up Against Colts Sunday

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) is officially active for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity. Jones, who will catch passes from Jacoby Brissett this week with Kyler Murray (foot) inactive, has played roughly half of the offensive snaps in all four of his games this season. As a result, we have a pretty clear expectation of what his role will look like against Indianapolis. With just five catches for 37 yards this season, Jones remains off the fantasy radar in all formats.

Zay Jones Clears Concussion Protocol, Will Play in Week 5

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones (head) has cleared the league's concussion protocol and was removed from the final Week 5 injury report on Friday, according to Zach Gershman of AZCardinals.com. Jones will be able to suit up on Sunday versus the visiting Tennessee Titans. The 30-year-old veteran suffered a concussion in Week 3 and was forced to sit out last Thursday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. Now that he's back, he'll resume his role as the Cardinals' No. 3 behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson. Arizona's inconsistent passing attack has barely been able to support Harrison as fantasy relevant through four weeks, let alone Wilson and Jones. In three games into his second season with the Cards, Jones has a measly three receptions on four targets for 29 scoreless yards. Continue to ignore him in fantasy in his return.
