Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receivers Michael Wilson (ankle) and Zay Jones (hamstring) have been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson has been limited in practice this week, but appears to go ready to play. Wilson has put together a quiet season outside of a few good weeks. Jones is set to make his season debut this week and will likely take over the No. 3 wideout role. Wilson figures to take a backseat to Jones or the two of them split up the third receiver role. Either way neither of them carry more than low-end flex appeal heading into this game.

Zay Jones Officially Added To Active Roster
The Arizona Cardinals officially added wide receiver Zay Jones (hamstring) to their 53-man active roster on Monday. The Cardinals had a roster exemption on Jones for a week after his suspension ended. After releasing receiver Chris Moore last week -- Moore eventually re-signed to the practice squad -- the Cardinals had an open roster spot. Jones was suspended for the first five games of 2024 due to a violation of the league's personal-conduct policy. The 29-year-old injured his hamstring in practice last week and did not suit up for the Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers. If he's able to make progress in practice this week, Jones could be in line to make his 2024 debut on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. When fully healthy, Jones will be battling for targets as Arizona's WR3 with Greg Dortch and Zach Pascal behind rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) and Michael Wilson. Jones can stay on the waiver wire in standard-sized fantasy leagues for now.

Zay Jones Won't Play In Week 6
Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that wide receiver Zay Jones (hamstring) will not suit up in Week 6 at Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Jones was reinstated earlier this week after being suspended for the first five games of the season. However, the 29-year-old is nursing a hamstring injury and won't make his 2024 debut until at least Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night. For now, he belongs on the waiver wire in the majority of fantasy leagues. When healthy, Jones will serve as receiver depth for the Cardinals behind rookie Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch. He'll be battling for playing time with the likes of Zach Pascal and rookie Xavier Weaver. In just nine games with the Jaguars in 2023, Jones had 34 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdown grabs.

Zay Jones Reinstated From His Suspension
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones was reinstated from his five-game suspension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday and he can officially rejoin the team. However, the Cardinals are expected to request that they be given a roster exemption for one or two weeks for Jones after he was suspended under the league's personal-conduct policy. So the 29-year-old is unlikely to play in the upcoming Week 6 contest against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Jones will eventually be competing for the WR3 role in Arizona with Greg Dortch behind rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson. The former second-rounder of the Buffalo Bills in 2017 out of East Carolina belongs on the waiver wire in the vast majority of fantasy leagues. Jones played in nine games (seven starts) for the Jaguars in 2023 and had a 34-321-2 line for Jacksonville.

Zay Jones Suspended For First Five Games
The NFL has suspended Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones for the first five games of the season due to violating the league's personal conduct policy. The suspension follows a misdemeanor domestic battery charge from his time with the Jaguars last season, which the Florida state attorney's office eventually dropped. Despite this, the NFL conducted its investigation and imposed a five-game suspension. Last year, Jones recorded 34 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns with Jacksonville. He will be eligible for reinstatement on October 7, following the Cardinals' Week 5 game against the 49ers, meaning his earliest return to regular-season action would be October 13 against the Packers. In his absence, Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Greg Dortch are expected to lead the team's wide receiver corps for the season opener on September 8 against the Buffalo Bills. While this impacts Kyler Murray somewhat, Trey McBride and Harrison Jr. will likely receive even more targets.

Zay Jones Signing With Cardinals
Free-agent wide receiver Zay Jones is signing with the Arizona Cardinals, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The 29-year-old went on visits with the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys this week, but he ultimately landed in a spot where he can compete for targets right away. Jones was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars after they selected LSU wideout Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but there's a real chance his situation is better in Arizona. Rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. is expected to occupy the WR1 role right away, but Jones is almost certainly slated to start in three-wide sets, and he might even beat out Michael Wilson to start in two-wide sets. He and tight end Trey McBride could battle it out to be Kyler Murray's No. 2 option in the passing game. Pencil in Jones as at least a deep league flex option in 2024.

Chiefs Next On Zay Jones' List Of Visits
Free-agent wide receiver Zay Jones will visit with the Kansas City Chiefs next, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Jones, who was cut loose by the Jacksonville Jaguars recently, has already visited with the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and Dallas Cowboys. All of those teams have varying levels of need for a new wide receiver, but Kansas City could be the most appealing for Jones given that they are competitive year in and year out, offer the opportunity to catch passes from an elite quarterback, and currently have a significant void near the top of their depth chart. It's no secret that second-year receiver Rashee Rice could be facing a lengthy suspension for a pair of off-the-field issues this offseason. Marquise Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy would benefit from playing alongside someone like Jones, especially if Rice does end up missing time. Such a dynamic would give Brown, Worthy, and Jones plenty of opportunities to carve out meaningful volume, though Brown would likely have first dibs on the No. 1 receiver role. Therefore, any free-agent deal for Jones would likely keep him off the fantasy radar in a typical 12-team league, at least for the time being.

Zay Jones Visiting Cowboys On Wednesday
Free-agent wide receiver Zay Jones is on a visit with the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday, according to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report. The eight-year NFL veteran was recently let go by the Jacksonville Jaguars after the team added Gabe Davis as a free agent and Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Jones has caught just 287 passes for 3,028 yards and 18 touchdowns through his first 104 NFL games with the Bills, Raiders, and Jaguars, but his 2022 season performance (823 receiving yards) showed he can be a key contributor to an offense. CeeDee Lamb is the clear No. 1 target in Dallas, but Brandin Cooks looks to be slowing down, and Jalen Tolbert has under 300 receiving yards through his first two NFL seasons. If Jones lands in Dallas, he could become the No. 2 option for Dak Prescott, which would raise his fantasy value and ceiling in 2024.

Zay Jones Visiting With Titans
Free-agent wide receiver Zay Jones, who was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars after the NFL draft, is visiting with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, according to a source. Jones has an obvious connection to Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz, as the two worked together in Jacksonville in 2023. Jones became expendable for the Jags after they drafted Brian Thomas in the first round this year. The 29-year-old oft-injured receiver played in just nine games for Jacksonville last year due to a knee injury and finished with 34 catches for 321 yards and two touchdowns on 64 targets. If Jones does land in Tennessee with Holz, he'd merely be serving in a complementary depth role behind Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks if he can stay healthy, which would keep his fantasy ceiling and floor pretty low.

Jaguars Release Zay Jones On Tuesday
The Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran wide receiver Zay Jones on Tuesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Despite the team selecting Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, this is somewhat of a surprising move. Jacksonville lost Calvin Ridley to the Titans this offseason, so depth behind Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis, and Thomas Jr. is looking thin. However, it's worth noting veteran wide receiver Jarvis Landry is trying out for the Jaguars, so this could hint at his potential signing. After an 823-yard season in 2022, Jones battled injuries in 2023 and caught just 34 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns. Given the importance of the wideout spot in today's NFL, he should have a decent market for his services. The 29-year-old has hauled in 287 passes for 3,028 yards and 18 touchdowns in 104 career games.
