Zay Jones News
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones hauled in five of his seven targets for a team-high 83 receiving yards in Saturday's 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The former second-round pick combined for 13 catches, 157 yards, and a touchdown in Jacksonville's two postseason games. After signing with the Jaguars before the 2022 season, the veteran wideout quickly became the No. 2 target for Trevor Lawrence. Even though Jones proved to be a great addition for the Jaguars this season, it remains to be seen what his role looks like in 2023 when Calvin Ridley is inserted into the offense.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones is a solid option in Saturday's Divisional Round matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs. After combining for only eight receptions for 59 yards from Weeks 16 through 18, the 27-year-old wideout caught eight of his 13 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in last week's Wild Card win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Jaguars are likely going to need to throw the ball to keep up with the Chiefs on Saturday and Kansas City's defense has given up the eighth-most points per game to WRs. Even though Christian Kirk is the No. 1 target, Jones has proven to have a strong rapport with Trevor Lawrence.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones hauled in eight of his 13 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's comeback victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. It was a disastrous start to the game for the Jaguars as Trevor Lawrence tossed four interceptions in the first half. Despite the woes to begin the game, Jacksonville's offense stayed the course and found plenty of success in the second half. The former second-round pick recorded the second-most targets and the third-most yards for the Jaguars in Saturday's win. Even though Christian Kirk remains the No. 1 option in the offense, Jones continues to be a reliable target for Lawrence in the passing game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made it a point to add weapons to their wide receiver room this offseason to give quarterback Trevor Lawrence some more ammunition to make a Year 2 leap. Christian Kirk was their big-ticket free-agent signing, but they also added Zay Jones, who had 61 receptions (90 targets) for 700 yards and two touchdowns in 33 games the last two years with the Las Vegas Raiders. Most of that production came in 2021, when he had 47 receptions for 546 yards and one score. The...
