Anders Bjork Hands Out Three Assists In Monday's Win
Chicago Blackhawks left wing Anders Bjork was the most productive skater in Monday's 5-0 win over the Senators, finishing with three points. He did all of the scoring with assists inside 8:31 of action in the second period, helping out Seth Jones twice and completing his hat trick of helpers when Jason Dickinson found the back of the net. The 26-year-old was playing in only his third NHL game of the season and these are his first points. Bjork has tallied only 56 points in 214 career appearances, so it's not likely that he will repeat his Monday's effort anytime soon.
Buffalo Sabres winger Anders Bjork scored two goals in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win against the Islanders, helping the team erase a 3-1 deficit. He also ended up with the lone goal in the shootout. Victor Olofsson finished with two assists and Michael Houser made it two wins in two career starts between the pipes with a superb 45-save effort. Bjork had a nice start in Buffalo after coming over from Boston, but the past few weeks have been unproductive from the 24-year-old, and he was six games without a point prior to Tuesday's action. Bjork has five goals and 14 points for the campaign in 43 outings with six of the points coming in 13 appearances for the Sabres.
Buffalo Sabres winger Anders Bjork is set for his team debut on Tuesday against Boston, slotting in on the third line. The 24-year-old, who was traded by the Bruins in the Taylor Hall deal, will skate with Dylan Cozens and Arttu Ruotsalainen. Bjork has only five points for the year, and he's managed 16 goals and 39 points in 138 career games, but the 24-year-old should get a bigger role in Buffalo, which will give him an opportunity to boost his production. Bjork has a good chance to start earning some power-play time, which was hard to come by Boston.
Boston Bruins right wing Anders Bjork is playing alongside Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron on the top line for Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils. The Bruins are still trying to fill the craterous hole left by David Pastrnak's (hip) absence, and it appears Bjork is getting the next shot. The 24-year-old only had 19 points in 58 games last season, but makes for a super-budgeted DFS option on Saturday's afternoon slate.
