Boston Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort (lower body) won't play this weekend against Minnesota and Buffalo. He made an early exit in Thursday's 3-0 victory over Winnipeg, and Forbort's injury will give Connor Clifton an opportunity to re-enter the lineup. Clifton has posted a nice plus-18 rating across 64 appearances while putting in a lot of work without the puck. He has recorded 178 hits and 97 blocks. However, managers shouldn't expect much from Clifton offensively, as he has tallied only five goals and 17 points with 81 shots on goal this season.

He was hurt on Nov. 1 in a game against Pittsburgh and was forced to undergo surgery to fix his right middle finger. Forbort will be on the bottom defensive pairing with Connor Clifton. The 30-year-old is a defensive defenseman who has collected only three points this season in 10 games with 27 hits and 18 blocks. He makes a good addition to the Bruins blue line but fantasy managers should look elsewhere.

He scored both of his goals in the second period and ended up with the game-winner. The 29-year-old finished with a plus-two rating and tallied three shots in total with one block, one hit and four penalty minutes. Forbort sits on the first defensive pairing, but he mostly doesn't do enough to attract the attention of fantasy managers. He has only five points, 17 hits and 10 blocks for the season in 14 games.
