Dustin Tokarski Shuts Out Flames With 24 Saves

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski led the team to a 1-0 overtime victory against Calgary Friday night, saving 24 shots. It's his second career shutout and the first since March 2014. Tokarski ended a run of three consecutive losing starts, improving to 6-9-4 for the campaign. Being a goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres is one of the most hazardous jobs in the world and Tokarski has taken a lot of beating throughout the season to register a 3.09 goals-against average with a .906 save percentage. The 32-year-old doesn't feature a lot for Buffalo and should stay on the waiver wire.

Dustin Tokarski Will Start on Sunday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will get the start against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. Tokarski has picked up a win in only one of his previous five appearances, while posting a a 3.64 goals against average and .887 save percentage over that span. The 32-year-old is an unfavorable streaming option for the contest against the Kings, who are 7-3-0 over their last 10 games and currently sit in second place in the Pacific division.

Dustin Tokarski Makes His 13th Start Of The Year

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will guard the crease on Monday against Seattle, making his 13th start of the campaign. The 32-year-old has had some good stretches, but his record stands at a lowly 4-4-3 with a 3.05 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. Tokarski has already faced the Kraken once this season, and he ended up with a 5-2 loss on Nov. 4, saving 33 of 37 shots in the contest. Buffalo has gone cold after opening the season with a nice run, so Tokarski is a very risky choice between the pipes for fantasy managers.

Dustin Tokarski Plays Well in Loss to New Jersey

The Buffalo Sabres goalie, Dustin Tokarski, played incredible on Saturday night. He stopped 31 of 33 shots in all during the 2-1 overtime loss. Buffalo was badly outplayed after the first period. Overall, the Sabres yielded 14 high-danger scoring chances including nine during the second stanza. Tokarski stood tall stopping all nine. It was a power-play tally from Nico Hischier that beat him. This may pave the way for Tokarski to start one more time next week.

Dustin Tokarski Faces Rangers On Sunday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will face the New York Rangers on Sunday in his 10th start of the year. He enters the contest with a 2-7-2 record and has a 3.23 goals-against average with a .914 save percentage. The Sabres shocked Boston on Friday with a 6-4 win to pick up some momentum, but they have managed back-to-back wins just twice this season. Don Granato's team has also lost four of six meetings with the Blueshirts, so Tokarski will have his hands full here with another loss being a very likely result.

Dustin Tokarski Faces Bruins On Tuesday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will face the Boston Bruins in his eighth start of the campaign on Tuesday. The 31-year-old will enter the contest with a 2-5-2 record. Both of his wins have come in his last three appearances, so he could be a tough nut to crack here for the B's. They already had a lot of trouble beating Tokarski and the Sabres in the previous meeting, notching a 3-2 win only in a shootout. The Humboldt, Saskatchewan native has posted a 3.15 goals-against average in 2020-21 with a .914 save percentage. Tuukka Rask will guard the cage for the Bruins, looking for his third consecutive win.

Dustin Tokarski Makes Fifth Start Of The Season

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will guard the cage in Thursday's road game against Washington, earning his fifth start of the season. He takes over from Linus Ullmark, who once again got hurt in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss against Boston. The Swedish netminder player only a handful of minutes before being forced off with an undisclosed injury. Tokarski came in to stop 29 of 31 shots. The 31-year-old is winless so far with a 0-4-2 record, and he's registered a 3.54 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. The Sabres have lost six of seven meetings with the Capitals this season, so everything points to another loss here for Tokarski.

Dustin Tokarski In Sabres Goal On Thursday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will make his fourth appearance of the season in Thursday's home outing against the Rangers. The 31-year-old is winless so far with a 4.11 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage. The Sabres finally won a game on Wednesday to stop an 18-game skid, which should give them some confidence, but it looks highly unlikely that they will manage to post back-to-back wins. It's happened just once all season when starting goaltender Linus Ullmark was between the pipes in both matchups back in January.

Dustin Tokarski Goes Again For Buffalo On Thursday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski remains in the crease as the team finishes off a back-to-back set against Pittsburgh on Thursday. He had a busy night with 37 saves in Wednesday's 5-2 loss against the Penguins. The Sabres hoped to get Linus Ullmark (lower body) ready for Thursday's action, but he remains out, so Tokarski has to hold down the fort for a second consecutive night. The 31-year-old is back playing in the NHL for the first time since 2015-16 and it's not been an enjoyable return so far, with Tokarski recording a 4.64 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage in two outings.

Dustin Tokarski Starts For Sabres On Wednesday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Dustin Tokarski will make his first start since the 2015-2016 campaign as his team faces off against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night. The 31-year-old was thrust into his first NHL action of the season in relief of injured netminder Carter Hutton on Monday - an appearance in which he allowed four goals on 37 shots against. Given his limited action in the NHL and the fact that his team is in the midst of a 14-game losing streak, Tokarski should only be added and started in the most desperate of fantasy situations on Wednesday.
