Malcolm Subban Gets His Third Sabres Start

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Malcolm Subban will make his third start of the season on Thursday against the Islanders. Things haven't worked out well for the 28-year-old so far, as he enters the matchup with a 0-1-1 record. Subban had a shocker in his debut, giving up six goals on 25 shots against Carolina, before frustrating the Penguins a bit in a 3-2 overtime loss with 45 saves. He's registered a 4.79 goals-against average with a .877 save percentage. The Sabres have rarely won since opening the season with a 5-1-1 run and using their goalie is always a risky choice in fantasy hockey.

Malcolm Subban Injured After Allowing Six Goals Sunday

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Malcolm Subban made his debut on Saturday night against the Carolina Hurricanes. He was traded from the Chicago Blackhawks to Buffalo earlier in the week. The night, needless to say, did not go very well. Subban allowed six goals on just 25 shots before he succumbed to an injury midway into the third period. He will be further evaluated on Sunday and is day-to-day for now. Subban probably could not have had a tougher debut if he tried. It was one of those nights.

Kevin Lankinen Replaces Malcolm Subban As Saturday's Starter

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will get the nod for Saturday's clash with the Panthers, despite Malcolm Subban filling the starter's crease at the morning skate. Subban was expected to lead the team out, but it looks like head coach Jeremy Colliton had a late change of heart. Lankinen has had a rough ride during the second half of the season and is winless in four games ahead of Saturday's action. His record has dropped to 16-13-5, and the Finnish netminder has posted a 2.97 goals-against average during his rookie campaign with a .909 save percentage and two shutouts. Chicago's season has slowly fallen apart, and they are facing a top-class side here, so Lankinen could easily get lit up again.

Malcolm Subban In The Starters Crease For Chicago

Chicago Blackhawks goalie Malcolm Subban guards the cage for his team on Saturday against Florida. Through 15 games, Subban sports a 6-7-1 record with a goals-against average of 3.03 and a save percentage of .905. He is yet to start against Florida during the year, and he lost his last appearance on April 27th to Tampa Bay. The Toronto, Ontario native is rostered in just six percent of Yahoo! leagues since he has been the backup to Kevin Lankinen in this year's campaign.

Malcolm Subban Makes Second Consecutive Start

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban will earn a second consecutive start in Friday's clash with Nashville. He pulled out a 5-4 overtime victory in Wednesday's meeting with the Predators thanks to a spectacular third-period comeback by the team. It wasn't a great performance from Subban, but he is carrying some momentum right now having notched a 29-save shutout last Saturday against Detroit. The 27-year-old is 6-5-1 for the year with a 2.86 goals-against average, a .911 save percentage and two shutouts. Chicago has won just once in seven games against the Predators this season, so it's far from an ideal matchup for Subban.

Malcolm Subban Starts For Chicago On Saturday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban will make his first appearance of the month on Saturday as the team finishes off a two-game set against Detroit. Kevin Lankinen, who made eight consecutive starts, failed to beat the Red Wings on Thursday, taking a 4-1 loss. Subban has also had some struggles in the matchup this season, posting a 1-1-0 record with a 3.37 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage. He is 4-5-1 overall for the season with a 3.14 goals-against average, a .903 save percentage and one shutout. The Red Wings are expected to go with Jonathan Bernier, who is a decent 9-7-0 for the campaign.

Malcolm Subban Takes On Struggling Stars

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban will go for his fifth win of the season in Tuesday's meeting with the Dallas Stars, who are in a horrible slump. Rick Bowness' team has managed only two wins from their last 13 outings, and the run includes two losses to Chicago. The Hawks dropped their last outing against Tampa 6-3, but they haven't suffered back-to-back losses since January, so Subban will have the pleasure of playing behind a very consistent team. He is 4-2-1 for the season with a 2.63 goals-against average, a .918 save percentage, and one shutout.

Malcolm Subban Starts For Chicago On Friday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban will guard the crease in Friday's rematch against Tampa Bay. Chicago stormed to a 2-0 lead on Thursday against the Bolts but ended up taking a 3-2 overtime loss with Kevin Lankinen between the pipes. Subban's last appearance finished with a 5-3 loss to Detroit. He is 3-2-1 for the season with a 2.60 goals-against average, a .916 save percentage, and one shutout. The Lightning has racked up six straight wins and the Hawks have rarely beat them in recent seasons, so it's an ugly matchup for Subban. Curtis McElhinney, who is 2-1-0 for the season, is likely to start for Tampa.

Malcolm Subban Earns Second Consecutive Start

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban will earn a second consecutive start for Saturday's battle with the Red Wings. The 25-year-old has seen minimal action this season, but he came in for Thursday's clash with Columbus and produced a 26-save shutout in a 2-0 win, so Chicago will ride the hot hand. Subban is 3-1-1 for the year with a 2.13 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage. It's a very favorable matchup for him, as Detroit is averaging only two goals per game for the season and they have managed just three wins from their last 16 visits to the Windy City.

Malcolm Subban Shuts Door On Columbus

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban posted his first shutout of the season in Thursday's 2-0 win over Columbus, improving to 3-1-1 for the year. Subban, who recorded 27 saves against the Blue Jackets, had a very rough start to the year when Tampa put five pucks past him on opening night, but he has since stayed undefeated in regulation, allowing two or fewer goals in three of four outings. Kevin Lankinen, who is 8-3-3 for the year, is the undisputed starter in Chicago, but it's a busy season and Subban certainly hasn't hurt his chances of getting more playing time. He could feature again over the weekend with the Hawks having a back-to-back set versus Detroit, and they also play on consecutive nights against Tampa next week.

Malcolm Subban In Goal Sunday

Chicago Blackhawks netminder Malcolm Subban will be guarding the crease versus the Dallas Stars Sunday afternoon. Subban has only appeared in two games this year, with a record of 0-1-1, a 3.95 goals-against-average and a .889 save percentage.

Malcolm Subban Starting Wednesday Against Lightning

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Malcolm Subban will be between the pipes on Wednesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Subban is likely to split starts with Collin Delia and Kevin Lankinen this season. The 27-year-old owns a 2.97 goals-against average through 60 career starts and is going up against one of the league's top offenses. Even without Nikita Kucherov (hip) for the Lightning, this is a scary spot for Subban. Only the most desperate fantasy managers should ride with the Blackhawks' goalies this season.
